Next Question

Did you use the omod script that is provided on the first page. I don't understand what you mean here.

Check to make sure it got installed correctly..

Look where you installed obliivon to and find this..data\textures\characters\eyes\ should have around 260 files

and data\textures\characters\hair with 4 folder in it.

Sounds like it could be UAC blocking the resources from getting loaded.

Did you install oblivion to program files itself, if so then, either you need to turn uac for oblivion or reinstall the game outside of program files directory I know for a fact it is not in program files.



There is no folder for Eyes. Howeve,r I did end up seeing 3 folders titled "Install next-IF using *someone's* bodies" so perhaps it did not install correctly?

you did not follow the readme

you need to copy the content of "install first" direcotry into oblivion\data directory..

if not using any body mods then remove those folders and then remove the install first directory has well.

or use the omod script to install with..

You'll find it http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1051762-relz-cobl-races-relz/page__view__findpost__p__15466208 on the first page.

Copy the script > Edit script > Paste > Close the script window > Say yes to saving changes

Alternatively, you might use Wrye Bash's installer instead as Cobl Cosmetics is BAIN ready.

You would have attached the script to it , when you created the OMOD,

So I did you a favor and uploaded the OMOD Version with script already attached to it.

You need to uinstall your current version first

and unzip this into Oblivion\OBMM\Mods diretory

start obmm, click activate and follow prompt , if using any of Body Mod listed select has needed.

that should be it.

If you manage to fail at installing this then you really need to read up on Modding Itself. See Oblivion Mod Facts pineed at top forum itself.

thanks a ton. Sorry I'm making you do all this extra work. I'll post again after creating the OMOD for it and trying it again.

on a mostly unrelated note, was there a problem with the Nexus servers yesterday? i noticed that my downloads from there yesterday were capping off arounf 50Kb a second, making the large downlaods have an ETA of over an hour.

EDIT: is that file an OMOD or jsut OMOD ready?

I wanted to check.

so now it is in that folder. The title of the OMOD is "Cobl Races Cosmetics 1.0" correct?

EDIT now OBMM is frozen. it is just sitting there. if I click inside of the OBMM, it makes the *ding* sound, indicating something is maybe running in the background. but I see nothing to show it is doing any work.

it is uncompressing most likely give it a few minutes somtimes obmm take a while.

you need the actual body replacer themselves..if you do not have any of them just do not select anything at that screen and tell it okay.

then once it is done, then check oblivion\data\textures\characters\eyes and hair to see if files exist their if so then Cobl Races is installed.

overwrite any file that already exist

if you added new mods then you need to rebuild your bashed patch

else no..

really you should read the oblivion mod facts so that you at least have a basic understanding and I would not have to explain everything once again. Had to sound rude but that is how it is.

It does happen from time to time.

You did select MMM Resized Races and Cobl Races in Races Section of Bashed Patched when you rebuilt it right.?

Try making your Character changes first. Just activate Oblivion, Cobl, Cobl Races, no other mods,

then make your character, and then save and exit,

then reactivate the rest of your mods and rebuild your bashed patched.

then load your save and continue on.

Alright, that worked. and my last bashed patch did have those selected. It would be best to add mods slowly, correct?

For Example, I add in the rest of the cobl stuff, continue on the new character, then run it for a few minutes to make sure it doesn't crash. Then add in the UOP, Supplimental, and UOMP. then go from there.

EDIT: So I was in the middle of customizing my character, and ended up deciding on a Dark elf with a custom eye color. I went to create my custom class, and when I backed out of that, my game crashed. here was the LO at time of crash.

Hallo to everyone. After having made the mistake to post my question opening a useless thread, I apologize and post here.

After having installed the basic components of Cobl (Cobl.esm and Cobl Glue.esp), I decided to move ahead and add Cobl Races.esp, Cobl Races TNR.esp and Cobl Races TNR SI.esp. I went to the new character creation screen just to see the implementations to the races and I noticed that Ren's Hair models are presented twice or even three times (i.e. Ren's Hair 06, Rens Hair 06, Ren's Hair 06, Ren's Hair 07, Ren's Hair 07, and so on). Basically, TES4Edit shows that Cobl.esm has multiple hair models with the same name (although the EditorID is different). Is it normal that there are such duplicates in the game, or which is the meaning of this?

This is my load order. You will notice that I renamed "Cobl Glue.esp" in "Cobl Main.esp", "Cobl Races TNR.esp" in "Cobl Races - TNR.esp", but this is only to match the filename with the BSA I created. This is not an issue since my game recognises and load all the resources correctly. I see the hairs and the eyes, no problem.

question, are you talking about in game itself..Where you have more than Ren Hair 06 listed, and so On..? That can sometimes happen I noticed myself. Usually going back to vanilla selection for a hair then moving forward or backward slowly fixes it..Unless this is something else ?

Has for Double Hairs etc present in ESM ..

two hair types for Certain Types. One is for when you do not wear Helment those that do not use FND.NIF and Ones that Have a FND.nif are used when you wear a Helment/Hood ..

I think that is how those work once again. Still learning about all the race in and out when it comes to modding..

question, are you talking about in game itself..Where you have more than Ren Hair 06 listed, and so On..? That can sometimes happen I noticed myself. Usually going back to vanilla selection for a hair then moving forward or backward slowly fixes it..Unless this is something else ?


Yes, I'm talking about the char generation screen, at the very beginning of a new game. I will try the tip you suggested me, although the real reason remains untold... I suppose this happens because they are duplicated in Cobl.esm, and evidently they are duplicated for some reason which I don't know. You know, mine is more a curiosity on how things work than a real issue...

Bg2408 could explain why it happens in char menu better most likely, but, he has had problem accessing the forum since it was changed over.

I know It just does not happen with Cobl Races it happen has well with Race Balancing Project. It may because the sheer amount that each races has after and it confuses the menu. Let me try and contact him. Since I would like to know has well if that is cause..

They are in esm so that people can use them has a resource for one reason.
