[RELZ] Cobl #14

Alright, here's one I don't understand.

When I reinstall Oblivion(3 times in a row now).
I add all DLCs and patches, before I add their enlivenment patches.
After which I activate the COBL 1.72 OMOD.
When having done this, the game crashes after the intro of a new game.
But what's even weirder, it continues to do so when I deactivate COBL again.
As I've said, I've done a complete reinstall 3 times over again, including reboots and registry-cleaning.

What's going wrong?

Where after the intro - character setup, after the King talks to you, while exiting the sewers...
But what's even weirder, it continues to do so when I deactivate COBL again.

Try removing everything Cobl - textures, meshes, esps, everything, and try again. Have you tried running the game before installing Cobl?

Directly after the intro clip has played, the character menu never shows.

And, yes, it does work before Cobl is activated, else way I wouldn't be bothering you ;).

I was under the impression that, when a Omod is deactivated, all it's installed associated files are removed as well.
Am I wrong?
Hm, I see that it does leave some files and folders behind, I'll remove them.

Err, wait a minute - with UoP alone, or with UoP and Cobl? There are some overlaps/"conflicts" (but they shouldn't cause any problems).

have you tried moving cobl glue, si, tweaks below knights of nine in load order..

It seems the Uop caused the crash on it's own.:S

What files from this mod should i use with FCOM, i would read the readme but the page isn't loading


All of Cobl Plugin will work, but you do need to use OOO - Cobl, MMM-Cobl, or Cobl Tweaks, you use FCOM Cobl instead which comes with the fcom download..

readme is in the download itself under documents folder..if you make your own omod, then it will install the files that it only need once again.

I seem to recall that there was going to be a change between the 1.32 Cobl patch and the 1.33 Cobl patch that would require them to be different. It was to do with a global and the ability to completely turn off Geomancy rather than temporarily disabling it and having it pop back up again if you accidentally read the book a second time.

Of course, that was with my skill level, and it's possible someone else found a much better way to get around that so that a single version works with both 1.32 and 1.33.

Hamma,

If you get chance can you look at Cobl Filter Late Merge - it list for master file that is looks for a out of snyc with how boss log places esm and esp.

I am sure this could cause some type of problem but to what extent hard to tell,

but it just does not seem right. that plugin wants to have mmm.esm loading before cobl.esm, where has current load order are cobl.esm before MMM.esm etc..

Look at is master list in wrye bash on right hand side you will see what I mean..

Wrye requested I update it with new foods and I'm actually in the process of downloading the masters necessary to work with the file, so I'll get it sorted once I manage to find all the necessary files.

Cobl is great, and its races pack is going well, but I'd like to make a request. To add some races, because I need

them(and so many people surely needs too) for my companions. If you could cover the following races, pretty much all

companions would be supported by cobl. The hairs and the eyes are fine .

So I suggest to incorporate race records to COBL, but make the less used race resources as a separate resource so those don't want them to use may don't download it (and still download rest of resource packs). I think it would be ideal solution, because records in COBL.esm isn't worth too much too keep it there, and as such in current COBL, you can make the resources the separate package(s) so COBL main package isn't too fattening. (so we now have Cosmetic Resource 01, and we will have the 02 and so on, and we even can have Cosmetic Resource Less Common 01 and so on)

EDIT: I forget to say - of course new packages would be complementary ones and races from 01 wouldn't be repacked with 02 and so on - only the new races or changes

. That's what I was thinking about. However, many of the races I've stated aren't large, so they could already be added to "Cobl Cosmetics Res 01". I'd be really happy if all those races were provided by cobl, even if they were packed into different resources. I think I have literally downloaded all pretty female companions that can be found at tesnexus, I have more than 50 of them, and it is a pain in the ass to check the eyes, hair , races and all cosmetic stuff just to get them to work. I'm making omods of every mod I have to later burn them on a dvd or copy them on a pen-drive, and I was like going to do an omod with all those races, but since cobl is already doing it... well, I hope someone from the cobl team comes and definitely say if they are planning to do it or not.

EDIT

Speaking of omods, do I have permission to post the omod version of "Cobl Cosmetics Res 01" at tesnexus?

Hi, I use cobl, mostly for all the ingredients it adds. Most of the other functions that it has are not so useful to me because of other mods i use. However, i really love all the extra ingredients - the more the better! I do however have one slight complaint, which i haven't thoroughly checked out, so i guess it MAY not be caused by this mod. My complaint is that the ingredient sellers have HUGE bundles of ingredients to sell - that is, many of them have bundles of 30 or sometimes 60 of the ingredients found in this mod. So going to an ingredient seller you can pick up literally hundreds of ingredients, which makes for REALLY quick alchemy levelling. I would say that having these ingredients only in bundles of 5 or so might be a bit better for the balancing. Does anyone agree?

You're probably using Item interchange - Option, Ingredients in Bulk.esp. If you don't like having large amounts of ingredients, you should deactivate it.

oh i've never seen that esp before? i am using item interchange...but not that esp? is that from a new cobl? i cant remember what version of cobl i am using sorry....i am not at home at the moment...so if the new cobl has an II with bulk options, then I'm guessing the new cobl has lowered the amounts of ingredients sold as well?

if u use COBL without II-bulk then INGR from vanilla stay at vanilla rates and COBL INGR is selling a pretty few
whole II is part of COBL by mean of distribute, but looking at diffrent side II is cobl dependent mod which you get little old version bundled with COBL
the maker of II heard from many users that those are somewhat unblanced so he made OPTIONAL plugin II-bulk for make both stocks of INGR huge (bulk) - there are two version of them (with diffrent Bulk-ness)
if you don't like it disable it AND prevent it from merging (or simply move it out of Oblivion/data directory)
if you still don't like vanilla/Cobl rates feel free to give request to Vacuity to made plugin for slighty low amount of ingredients or made copy of II-Bulk and edit values by hand and save it under rational name and load instead II-Bulk

I don't think this has anything to do with II at all, by the sounds of it: Cobl adds the TI ingredients in multiples of 30 to vendors stocks and up until now II has had nothing to do with that.

As for the numbers of items that Cobl adds, that's currently under review. I'm waiting for a new version of the main esm, so I can continue working on II and look through these changes. I've been waiting a wee while now though...
