[Relz] Cobl No.16

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 12:48 am

I am using Cobl.

So I went into the Skingrad Mages Guild basemant, and when you come down the stairs there is a cupboard on the wall immediately to your right. Under (yes, under) the cupboard I found a "no-stealing" barrel chock full of free Cobl ingredients?!?!

Doing Refscope showed it comes from Cobl. Is this supposed to be there? It seems a strange spot... maybe it was placed there during development and should not be really there anymore? I have a made a few screenshots:

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d191/haegint/Oblivion/Barrel1.jpg, http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d191/haegint/Oblivion/Barrel2.jpg, http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d191/haegint/Oblivion/Barrel3.jpg, http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d191/haegint/Oblivion/Barrel4.jpg

@Gratis_monsta
if you come back here again, what is the UGridsToLoad you are using? I use 5, I think this is the Oblivion default. I had one instance of disappeard water once so I'd be interested what you use. Thanks! :)

It's mentioned in the readme for 1.73 (? - the 'Loot-Drop-Merchant_changes_Proposal' download) so maybe an easter egg of sorts.

My uGridsToLoad is at 5 too!

I'd increased it to 9 or something and was wondering why the imperial city bridge seemed to have svcked up all the water below it :ahhh: Made oblivion recreate the ini and played around with the settings and realized it was uGridsToLoad that was causing it. Haven't touched that setting ever since!

Now let me just go and "not-steal" a barrel in skingrad :) Thanks for that!

For those Cobl users that are also using Iliana's Elsweyr the desert of Anequina, here's a patch that prevents duplication of Morrowind drinks and rationalises the stuff added to prevent exploitation.

Morrowind drinks have been updated to v2.3; update your Cobl with them by overwriting old ones.
Patch is here: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22062

Changes from 2.20
- Fixed collision on the bottles (really this time :-))
- Removed weird colouring and added vertex shading

Hi, I've downloaded CoBL for the first time and before installing it, I was using nifSkope to take a look to the .nifs: many of them have absolute paths rather than local path. Is it a bug that need fixing (I can do that) or I just showed off my noobness?

Core made the hotfix for it... did I then release it? Let me check.

The one link above contains all the Resources for Cobl Races no need to download anything else other than the Main Cobl itself..Contains OMOD Script has well..Will answer Cobl Races question in that thread once again..

Well you do need the Cobl .esm and .esp files of course. But in terms of cosmetics, this is all you need then. Bear in mind that Cosmetics are only needed if you use Cobl Races and/ or Cobl TNR faces (or some other face mod that says it requires Cobl Cosmetics).

One last thing to see if I've got this: the Main Cobl you are talking about is V1.72 that can be found on Tesnexus (posted in the first post), right?

Yes and no.
There is a Cobl update of the main files to version 1.73 as well. But it is awkwardly named "Drop Loot Merchant Proposal". It is on the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21104 listed under "Miscellaneous". Scroll down to see it, it's easily missed. Just donwload and look in the archive, it contains the updated main files.... :)

CorePC, everyone, spreading Christmas cheer :)

(Core, should I go ahead and put that up on TesNexus, or give it a week or two testing period?)

Ehh, haama, Christmas cheer v. 1.73 perhaps?
I know for sure Vacuity is holding back the new Item Interchange because waits for COBL update... perhaps now... ? :banghead:

Busy Bee

I really do not see a problem with it being updated on tesnexus since well it is biggest part of cobl after all and a seperate install.

Would be great to get more feedback about the fixes has well etc..

And when you have to make sure that Cobl/MMM/MMMforFrans/MMMforOOO/FCOM are all going to work it does take time after all..

We are closer than you think after all..

Would you like my modding JOB after all...

Corepc, my brother... don't get angry with me. I didn't want to offend at all! Least of all you! :nono:
I just expressed my wish to see FCOM 1.0 + COBL 1.73+ OOO 1.4 + II 1.0 + TT 1.5...
FCOM+++ is my most favourite mod, believe me. I love every part of it and whenthey ask 'What is your favorite top 10?' I always post my load order.
And COBL is so tastful! And tasty! :cake:
And I realise that without the modders all this brilliance would be impossible. Just imagine you're forced to play Vanilla game for 2 years!
I really appreciate all you modders have done for us who play Modblivion!
I love you all and wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! and CTD Free Mods! :tops:
As about ME doing YOUR job!!!!! You must be kidding! I could certainly try but they will have to close the forums!
Happy modding every one! It's CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!

So, will we be getting the new version as a present for the 6th or so? It is a 'present-day' of sorts in my country after all :hehe:
If I'm still in time to make suggestions, how about adding unicorn horn to the ingredients part? Not the vanilla one, but a duplicate without quest item status, 200 cost or so, and four effects instead of one, possibly rare ones. Of course extra rare, only found in wild unicorns themselves (I think there are in TIE), or occasionally in mythic loot.

Edit: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Ingredients, look for 'unicorn horn' there. Since Cobl already includes all of the relevant ones, only thing left is a 'playable' version of the unicorn horn.

No real news on a release date yet. I finally have some more time to work on it, but life is still a bit of an unknown to guarantee anything.

Unicorn horn - I don't know, I thought the unicorn was meant to be a complete gag. Let's wait for the lore hounds to comment...

Thanks to Willie_Sea for the assist.

Sounds based on samples uploaded to http://www.flashkit.com/soundfx/ by Industrial Girl, kayden riggs, Endlager Switzerland, Macro, Chris Mason Web Design and Graphics, Dave Girtsman, DJ Snowflake, TDR, and Public Domain (pretty sure that's a dummy account, but just in case).

Comments? (Any one mentioning ETA, or any part thereof, will be summarily :meh: News as it happens)
