You're absolutely right. I have been completely unfair to you, and I apologize. I've been under a great deal of stress lately, and I've been unconsciously taking it out on you, which is completely unfair to you and is definitely not the standard I try to hold myself to. It's not an excuse for my behavior, simply an explanation. Again I apologize to you and anyone else I may have hurt in this thread and I ask for your forgiveness.
That being said - we're both correct. And here is why:
And then, later:
So, not surprisingly, we have conflicting sources of information in the articles. Both articles say that the prank caller said “I just killed my mother and I might shoot more people", whereas the brother said that "one of the police officers said somebody called and said that the mother and brother of somebody in this house was killed". When and if the 911 call is ever released, we will know for certain exactly what the prank caller said to the police. Assuming that both articles are correct, however, the prank caller only said that "his" mother had been killed and never mentions a brother. The brother, however, heard something from a local cop that contradicts this, but can likely be explained by a miscommunication on the part of the local cop or the brother relaying that information to reporters.
As to police (and the FBI) looking at the other Call of Duty players, a CBS article (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/fbi-joins-new-york-swatting-prank-investigation/) has this to say:
So, in summary, we are both correct in some ways, and the New York Police and the FBI are both actively investigating the other Call of Duty players that Rafael Castillo was playing with at the time of the prank call.
