i have recently purchase crysis 2 and have installed it and started it up put in my code all sweet and well and then i go to multi-player it just wont work, ive tried the multi-single-then back to multi it doesnt work.. could you guys be of assistance?

is there a separate code in the manual just for multi or not?

when i press multi and put in my serial number it says that the code is invalid

Make sure you enter the code as XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX not just 20 characters in a row (ie. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) and make sure the letters are entered in the same case as you're reading them (ie. A not a).

Also, CD-keys are 20 characters long (not including the -) while Limited Edition unlock codes are 16 characters long - make sure you're using the correct one if you have both. I think CD-keys are usually on the back of your game manual/instruction booklet if you got a physical copy.

Yes i have put the dashes in when i tried the code and so you are sure there is only 1 code? i have the normal edition

First, make sure you have the latest version by starting with crysis2launcher.exe, which will run the auto-update and patch the game to the latest version if needed.

EA Chat will give you a new key after they complete their scripted dance, but they ARE helpful for this problem apparently. Good luck!
