Obviously the snow covered areas of Solstheim are verrry cold, so fur is appropriate wear...but the ash covered section? Hot or cold?

I come across the odd burning log, but it hardly makes too much sense. In order to set a log on fire it would have to be hundreds of degrees hot. But Solstheim climate is and has always been cold and given the distance the hot ash has travelled it should have cooled quite a bit.

Plus I can hardly see a sudden transition in temperature from incredibly hot to minus temperatures...in a matter of a few steps, from ash to snow.

So is it hot, cold, warm...what, in the ash part of Solstheim?
