Patrick had heard rumors of Enclave moving into the capitol building but since there was nothing but muties investing the area he hadn't believed it. Patrick wondered what kind of technology the Enclave were using to build the tunnel. Pat overheard the sentinel talk talking to Pete. He heard something mentioned about he mission being nice and easy.

"No mission with the Enclave was ever nice or easy. Half of these guys probably won't even know what hit them." Patrick thought to himself.

He still had mixed feelings towards Keyes Pat wasn't sure what kind of leader he was. He did remind him of Shields in a way but Pat still was reluctant to accept him. Pat had to see how he handled the squad in battle. Patrick then began to check his cells and grenades he didn't want to be weaponless in the midst of battle.

Edward

He noticed the large area that the Enclave were working in and he started to lower the Vertibird in towards it.

"If you all look in your personal cargo areas, you'll find a radio to attach to your head. Put it on now, we are going in hot." announced Edward.

He swooped in towards the construction area and immediately saw danger. There was a large Anti Air Artillery unit in the middle of the construction site, with several snipers on buildings around the area and the rest inside. He noticed a building that looked like it had enough space to land the Vertibird and was close enough to the site for the squad to get there in time.

"Pete, take control of the Bird and swoop over that AA once before heading to that building over there and landing, then move the squad into construction site. Patrick, suit up, your with me." he commanded.

He grabbed his gear and walked over to the door, pulling it open. He grabbed a helmet from a nearby rack and put it on, passing another one to Patrick.

"Put it on, you'll need it. We are making a jump from Big Bird down onto that AA. We have to neutralize it or the Bird will be toasted in seconds. Jump on my mark."

Edward watched as they swooped in towards the AA gun at a fast speed. He calculated the jump and suddenly he yelled 'Mark!' and they both tumbled through the air directly towards the AA.

The call for battle sounded. Patrick geared up he was locked and loaded. Ed said there was going to be an AA gun Patrick had never even seen one. There were also snipers Pat would have to keep his head down. Ed instructed him to put the helmet with the radio on Pat did as he was told. Things were about to get hot Pat could see the Enclave frantically running about already.

Edward explained that he and Patrick were going to neutralise the AA battery. Patrick was as ready as ever. He wasn't stupid he may not have been too fond of Edward but he knew that he had to follow his every order for the safety of the squad.

"Ok I'm ready." Shouted Patrick.

Pat waited for the sentinels mark.

"Mark!" Yelled Ed.

Patrick jumped and fell through the air straight towards the AA.

Edward

He saw as they where about to hit the ground and he tightened his grip on Patrick, while trying to straighten himself out.

He hit the ground on his feet and rolled, taking the fall easily. He didn't have much chance to see Patrick, because as he soon as he landed he was sprinting towards the AA battery. He leapt up it and punched the operator in the face, before pulling him out and shooting him in the head. He turned around and could feel sniper bullets smashing into his armor plates. Patrick had hit the ground hard, and was still there. Most of the snipers were focusing on him, but he could see one about to shoot at Patrick.

Edward jumped into the AA and fired a round into the building the sniper was standing on. The building collapsed easily, and Edward jumped down and grabbed Patrick, dragging him into cover underneath the AA battery.

"Pete this is Edward. Patrick and I have terminated the AA and are in cover beneath it at the moment under heavy fire from sniper. Bring the men in and take them out. Send a man to the top to watch over us too, I don't want any surprises. I need to check Patrick out now. Steel be with you."

Edward pulled off Patrick's dented helmet and discarded it.

"Patrick, are you okay?" asked Edward as he heard the distinctive noise of a gun having its safety turned off behind his head.

"Put your hands up!" yelled the voice.

Flying through the air was a strange feeling for Patrick and what was even worse was he didn't know how to land. Patrick felt Ed try to straighten him up but he still land badly. Patrick looked up to see Edward running over towards the operator. What Ed didn't was another guy helping take aim at Big Bird. Pat was still dazed but not so dazed that he could get a shot off. So Patrick took what aim he could and fired. The shot went through part of the officers neck which killed him.

Suddenly sniper shots rang out. From what Patrick could tell most were off in Ed's direction although there were one or two targeting Pat. Then Patrick saw something crazy he saw Ed get on the AA and blast a building. The sniper fire that was ringing all around Pat stopped and Ed came and pulled him to safety behind the AA gun.

Patrick took a breath of fresh air when Ed removed his helmet, he needed it. Patrick was about to thank Edward when he saw a Tesla soldier standing right behind Ed.

"Put your hands up!" he yelled.

Patrick pushed Edward out of harms way and leapt at the soldier tackling him to the ground. They wrestled, the Tesla soldier reached for his knife but Patrick was to quick and managed to grab it. Patrick then stabbed him in the neck where the armor wasn't so thick. Pat then crawled back towards Edwards.

"Thanks for saving me." Patrick stuck out his hand to shake Edwards.

(OOC: If you were planning to do something special with the Enclave guy just tell me and I will edit my post.)

(OOC: Actually I was hoping you'd do just that =)

Edward

"No, thank you. There was a lot more of a chance of me dying then." said Edward as he shook Patricks hand.

"What do you think. Do we try and get out of here ourselves or wait for the rest of the squad to get here and help us?" asked Edward.

(OOC: )

IC:
"I guess we're even then" Patrick joked.

"I think the squad may take a while to get here and with these snipers I don't think we can afford to stay in the one spot for too long. It's still your call after all your the leader. One thing I think we should defiantly do is sabotage this AA gun." Patrick suggested.

Edward

He thought things over and came to a decision.

"Ok, you get a grenade and shove it up in the AA's motor. I'll stick my gun out and start shooting at the snipers and keep you covered, you sprint out to that alley and then provide cover fire for me while I sprint to you too. Then we'll get to the roofs and take out the snipers. Sound good?"

"Hell yeah Sir, I'm ready when you are." Patrick said.

Patrick pulled out his grenade, pulled the pin and shoved it into the motor.

"Better get clear!" Pat announced.

The AA exploded, not completely but it was enough to render it useless. Pat heard Ed begin to fire so he quickly ran. He ran as fast as he could praying not to get hit. Luckily his armor was meant for improved mobility. A bullet whizzed past grazing his armor but there was no real damage.

Pat ducked and weaved until he reached the alley. He patted himself down just to double check he hadn't been hit. He was fine. He then signaled to Edward to start running. He began to lay down cover fire while praying for Eds safety.

Edward

Edward sprinted across the site with bullets whizzing all around him. They were ready for him after Patrick ran and this time there was a lot more fire. A bullet hit the hydraulics of his armor and he froze and hit the ground no more than a meter away from Patrick. He panicked, and cursed the upgrades that he had made to his armor that had made this possible. Sure, his armor was stronger and could move easier because of it but one hit to that and he was frozen. It was his Achilles heel. All it took to fix was a simple replacement of wires which he could do in ten seconds but he couldn't move, so all he could do was sit there and watch.

"[censored]" Pat thought when he saw Ed go down.

Patrick then noticed that Edward wasn't moving. Patrick instantly thought he had been hit.

"No not again I'm not letting him die." Patrick said reloading as quickly as possible.

Once he had reloaded Pat, with his laser rifle in one hand, ran out shooting hoping to provide some sort of covering fire. He grabbed Edward and began dragging him along to safety. Patrick heard a few 'Pings' from bullets hitting his armor luckily none pierced Patrick's armor. Patrick managed to pull Ed to safety. Pat sat down to regain his breath. He then asked while panting.

"Are you ... ok Ed? What happened.... did ... you get.. hit?"

Edward

"Kind of... Can you drag me somewhere safe and take my armor off? I need to repair something quickly." asked Edward.

Patrick dragged him further down the alley and took off his armor, then while Edward repaired it quickly Patrick covered him. Edward explained what happened and thanked him for saving him while putting his armor back on.

"Ok, now lets get to the roof top and take out those snipers. You go up front, I'll cover you from behind." Edward said.

(OOC: Also, 50 more posts and I get another star. Win.)

(OOC I wish I had a star :shocking: and I'm pretty darn tired so another couple posts and I'm probably going to hit the hay.)

"Alright lets get moving" Patrick said.

Further down the alley he noticed a ladder which looked like it would give them roof access. Patrick began the long climb upwards. He was very worried because he was so vulnerable climbing up the ladder. Pat made it up ok though.

Pat looked over and saw a sniper scanning for either them or more Brotherhood it didn't really matter just as long as he didn't see Pat. Patrick decided to go stealthy so he snuck up behind the sniper and hit him over the back of the head with the butt of his gun. He heard a sickening crack and the Enclave soldier dropped to the ground with blood pouring out of his head.

Patrick then went over to the ladder and waited for Ed to catch up.

(OOC: I need to go to bed, night Aussie. I have tonsillitis so I'll be on tomorrow.)

I jumped from the Vertibird. As I did so, Patrick bounced off of me, falling to his death, onto Edwards corpse. Screaming, I reached down but missed him.

I awoke from the dream crying out for Edward. I noticed the concerned voices around me in the cargo bay. Before I could explain, Edward Keyes spoke.

(OOC: You guys are supposed to be coming into the site to back Patrick and I up. And Gruntbuster my name is Edward Keyes and the second in command is Peter Harrow.)

(OOC I thought the other guys that were on the vertibird were meant to be securing the landing spot then come back Patrick and Ed up? :cookie: )

(OOC: The landing site is on top of a building near the the contstruction site. The squad is supposed to come in and help us out. Isn't that what I said? P.S 25 more posts and I get my star )

I stuttered awake, very suddenly, I looked around and saw an empty vertibird. I quickly started and jumped out, I'd taken a bit of medication before... I realised what the side effects of THAT were quite quickly. I quickly brought my hand up to my helmet, "Edward, what's happening? Sorry something just happened... Well, goddamit someone tell me what to do! I'm in the dark here on the bird!" I muttered into my speaker, waiting for a reply I quickly checked my weapons for any faults.

(OOC: I apologise for the short and stupid post, I'm running low on ideas and I just can't find the energy to read the other posts. Sorry.)

Joshua jumped out of the Vertibird and started his order's. He and the other's needed to keep this spot safe.
"All right guy's, you gotta enough ammo if things get ugly?"
