Cold Water Effects

Nah, I'm not convinced this would make the game more fun. You might as well have cold weather hurt you when you step outside without proper attire. It's realistic, sure, but also just another annoyance to solve with [insert magic buff here].

Wouldn't really mind that either tbh, I realize some would find it an annoyance, but to me stuff like that makes the game more fun :P

Lol I agree - I voted yes, but maybe it should only be in a hardcoe/survival mode (if there is one). I can see why people would find it tedious, so I don't think everyone should be forced to play like that.

Only if a survival/hardcoe mode is available.

My sentiments exactly. I still want to swim in the sea north of Skyrim which is probably going to be cold, so I don't want realistic effects from cold water.

I think it should but only in certain areas and not straight away, only if you spend too Long in cold water should it give you something like hypathermia which you would then need to cure some how.

I think thats a good idea. Perhaps if your in icy cold water your stamina will deplete slowly and when it runs dry you catch hypathermia.

It should affect everyone, except the nords (cold bath traditions) and argonians (cool blood).

Cold blood isn't an advantage. Cold blooded creatures are exceedingly susceptible to cold temperatures, which is why they usually bury themselves and hibernate during cold times of the year. Otherwise they're easy prey.

Actually I wouldn't mind a fallout 3 style RAD meter for cold in this game. Being outside on a windy snowy night in the mountains should be lethal for many races. Nords were always resistant to cold so maybe could acquire cold "rads" more slowly. Being in freezing cold water should RAPIDLY increase your meter. Stamina/strength reductions every level. Some armors could maybe slow the effect. Being inside or warming by a fire would bring down the meter. It would be a great addition to any survival hardcoe mode.
