Collecting!

A question about what you like to collect ingame if that is your fancy obviously! ;)

I always like to collect magical items that i received as a reward for a quest and such. Also gems in all sizes, rings, clothing (necro robes to keep score and the same with vampires if no ashes remain after the dead or they are too priceless not to sell)!

Also bowls, goblets and other assorted tableware made 'silver (i just love that material), pewter is also nice as "poor man's silver" and so on...

Books, definitely. Speaking of which, spell tomes remain in your inventory after you've learned the spell within, right? Collecting those will be fun too.

I'm a maniac of collecting, just to see how awesome the things I got look in the inventory, and with the new function that let you see them, zoom them it will be epic.

I like to collect books, and rare vintages...if my homes have the proper display-ability, then rare/magical armor and weapons.

In Oblivion, I collected each town's guard cuirass and shield. And bones.

About everything there was to collect. Books, alchemy ingredients, armour and weapon sets, clothes, you name it.

I hoard gems and alchemy ingredients. It's also a must to have a copy of every single book in the game in one place for easy reference.

Most important, rare books, then wine and other expensive alcohol. After that it's weapons, armour, clothes, shoes, gems, parchment, nirnroot, other ingredients, quills, soul gems, scrolls, shields, hoods, slightly cheaper alcohol, silver arrows, expensive potions, books that aren't that rare, skooma, bunches of flowers, notes and of course tan cups.

I collected all kind of things. I liked collecting armor sets and displaying them. One of each set, same with weapons. I liked collecting skulls and bones (I actually tried to fill up the waterfront shack entirely with bones). At one point, I actually went a little nuts and started to collect one of almost everything and just dump it my maid's room in Rosethorn. Had a room specifically for Daedric artifacts.

I liked collecting empty bottles and chess boards in Fallout 3.

In Oblivion I collected books and hour glasses. I will say in Oblivion there were not a lot of pointless things to collect like there was in Fallout 3. In Skyrim, I hope there are more things to collect and hoard for the hell of it.

Also, I echo others desires to have a way to put the books we collect into the Shelves for display. I was always envious of the way the Statue Collectors shelves would update with what you sold the guy in Oblivion. I wanted one of those for my house.

Alchemy ingredients, Poisons, Magic Items and now Dragon bones. A little off topic..I wonder what would happen if I took a bunch of horded poisoned foods (Assuming you can poison food) and dropped them in the center of a busy village. Would people start picking them up and eating them? :cookie:
