Collections from Shivering Isles

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:19 am

I suspect that most people that travel to the Shivering Isles collect things there and bring them back to Cyrodiil. I use my house in Bravil to store them. They′re in the cupboard beside the fireplace if you care to do a break-in and take a look. You can′t miss it, it has a shamble skull and two Fellmore wine bottles on it.
It contains anything from weapons and potions to special notes and a human skull found in the Isles. I also tried to collect 10 of every ingredient. I may miss one or two and I have 9 of one ingredient.

So how about you? Do you collect SI stuff? If so, what and where do you keep them?

I have a small collection of things:

Weapons:
Crystal Staff, dark bow, durable daedric claymore, Dusk/ Dawnfang, golden bow, golden longsword, Nerveshatter, Shadowrend, sword of Jyggalag, Nerlene's ceremonial shortsword, Ruin's Edge bow.

Apparel:
Dark seducer armor helm and shield, Charity of Madness amulet, Ciirta's Robes, heretic's robes and hood, light blue regalia, 4 priests of order robes and hoods, Raiment of Ardun-Sul, Sheogorath's Staff and Ragalia, Thadon's Robe (mod), extra pair of wrist irons.

Misc:
Attenuator of Judgement, 2 felldew, 46 Hearts of Order, 8 Shards of Order, and 98 greenmote (I am the Duke of Mania afterall :P ).

Use:
Self enchanted durable daedric shortsword, Ring of Lordship, Diadem of Euphoria, and Cursed Gauntlets of Absorption, and perfect amber arrows. Can't remember if my enchanted daedric bow was of the "durable" variety.

I store all the stuff I don't use in the chests, cabinets, barrels and crates in my house on the IC Waterftont (no not the purchasable shack ;) ).

Heads. Think I kept 'em in a bag too. And spoons. One must have spoons. Where else would one put spoons but stacked neatly alongside the fireplace?

I don't really have a specific SI collection, my character collects armor and weapons etc anyway.

However my Nord has begun collecting callipers and tongs in preparation for his voyage into madness...

I had some random Grumite stuff in my Skingrad house. The display cases make for both coolness and frustration of arranging the stuff.

I would say I have a pretty good collection started, but I'm not 100% finished with it yet. Off the top of my head, I know I have most of the unique weapons from SI such as Dawn/Duskfang, Nelrene's Ceremonial Shortsword, Staff of Sheogorath, Nerveshatter, Shadowrend and Sword of Jyggalag. I believe have at least one of each type of the normal weapons from The Dark Seducers, Golden Saints, Grummite and Knights of the Order. My collection of Madness and Amber weapons and armor is still incomplete.

I also have Shegorath's Regalia suited up on a mannequin with Cirion's Helmet and a Madness Ax which looks pretty cool, lol. I'm also pretty sure I have at least 1 of each of the new clothing items from SI, but it's been a while since I looked and I never put them on display. I actually ran out of room in the main upstairs part of my museum and had to add a lot more display pedestals down in The Vault for my SI collection. Sorry I don't have any pics yet as my collection is still a WIP, but this thread has inspired me to finally finish it! I will definitely post up some pics when I get it done, but if if you would like to see some general pics my museum, check it out here:

(Since these pics were made I have added a TON of stuff in the Vault, so it looks a LOT different now, but I hope you enjoy them as they were then!)

I have all the usual weapons and armor from SI, as others have posted. I also collect Shamble Skulls, which are placed strategically around my house. I have a display case dedicated to the fall of a lovely maiden, and her sad tale of woe. with her bow and her journal. Greenmote in bowls. I also have a budding collection of human skulls (for that one unmarked quest).

Really cool pics you had so far. To arrange all the weapons and mannequins.. Did you actually have time to play the game? :P

Once, my char dropped a matrix on the floor inside her house. We were surprised how large and beautiful it was. She stood it up on its end and put it in the corner as a neat decoration.

Wait, what? You mean this is actually a game that you PLAY and stuff? I will have to look into this further!

But seriously, for me the ability to display and organize your spoils is as much an essential part of Oblivion (and Fallout 3) as questing and exploring is. I'm pretty new to TES, so there are many, many times recently I've seen a new weapon or suit of armor and my first thought is NOT how much DR or power the weapon or armor has, but where in my museum would it look the best, lol. (I know, I'm kinda silly with this, lol.) I fancy that particular character as finishing every quest (except for TG & DB as he is a saintly type) and collecting every unique armor, weapon or collectible in the game and retiring with Cyrodiil's largest and most complete collection of artifacts, weapons and armor in the province! (He's getting pretty close too!)

And I will most definitely post the pics!

Balok your collection won't be complete without the Hood belonging to a certain Gray Fox, not to mention the nifty looking suit the Dark Brotherhood give to new members as well as some interesting collectables given away as quest rewards... It might not be in character but once he's retired you should complete his collection for him!

Do you arrange them, like weapons in this chest and armor in that? I tend to do that with collections. Not with my SI collection though

I have just come back from the Shivering Isles and i have to say, the collectibles there are amazing - and that's including the ingredients.

I got a very special sword off an adventurer from the bit where you have to go into that place and watch those adventurers battle out to things of your choice, just by the press of a button! hehe. Anyway, i think the sword is called Dawnfang or something like that? And then when it gets to night time it changes its name to something else...is it Duskfang? I'm not too sure now, but by day it gives out magic ice attack i think and then at night it gives out flame attack. And it always recharges itself too! Plus it's bloody good for killing them Will-O-Whisp things....shudder.

Yeah, it′s known as Dawnfang/Duskfang. And that recharging thing, just like in Morrowind :)

Wow, impressive, a shame that Oblivion is not a MMO as you can not take paying visitors to your museum.

Ok, but this thread is only about collections from Shivering Isles. But maybe you got those watermelons from there :)

I like to collect Unique items, that can only be found once, and store them in glass casing in Battlehorn or Rosethorn. Museum items I obviously give to the museum :) Unique items usually consist of non generic looking clothing and weaponry.

I′m a bit split when it comes to those items. I′d like to keep some of them, such as that coin and other things. But then the tour is not complete
