With all these "In Game" related problems... i would like to address some other bugs with the contents of the Collectors Edition Boxes that people may be having.

First off i there is a serious texture problem with my Lucky 38 "Platinum" chip, as it looks more Silver than Platinum (this may be a rendering issue) and the texture feels more of a nickel or chrome feel in my fingers.
Anyone else getting this issue? Also it feels cold when i hold it, is this normal?

Also the other so call "chips" are very flavorless and hard to bite on. Last week i bought a pack of chips from the supermarket and they tasted a lot better (BBQ flavored). I kind of expected to have something authentically Vegas to eat while playing the game but so far these other chips in the box are very disappointing. Even after re-installing my taste buds.

I haven't noticed any problems with the comic book BUT, the playing card is like really REALLY thick (like half and inch thick) and there is just 1 of them and its wrapped in this plastic wrapping. Doesn't even say if its a heart or a spade or what. Are there any fixes yet for this issue?


I don't know if anyone has any problems with the contents of their standard retail box. But when i was opening My CE box, my Girlfriend wasn't naked and wasn't dancing sixy for me, can a Dev please comment on this thanks? I found it to be rather disappointing and a unmemorable box opening.

My chips are as well, stale and tasteless. My coin appears to unacceptable at all the retailers I tried. The comic book's sequel is a game(I mean really? Com'on!). My card appears to have fallen apart into many different layers all over my floor, in my hands, they just fell apart! Nothing more I can think of right now, but really? I mean really?

I found dipping my chips in squirrel soup first with a little toilet water really brings them to life. Also, you have to combine the opening of the CE edition with your wife AND gf's for it to work properly and then add jet for the secret ending... but this will also keep you out of the game for at east six hours.

6 Hours? Ok then ill re-open my CE box that way then when the game will be downloading and applying the new patch. :tops:

Downloading the game and patches via Steam? Your going to need more gf's

NEVER downloaded the game from Steam... how would they be able to send me a Collectors Edition Box through a download stream? Do i have to print it out and make it myself?

But patches yes... may take a while from all the problems there seems to be.

Perhaps after im finished with the GF's, i can read the comic again, or make that squirrel stew the other guy mentioned for my chips.

I downloaded it on the first day thinking I did something wrong trying to eliminate the issue... wow... BIG mistake. I have the fastest internet possible around here also... Steam. Blows. Chunks.

That's what I did with mine!! Who'd have thought it? That the squirrel soup with a little toilet water really does bring the chips to life! Mine ended up dancing before I ate them lol.

I notice that if i put my drink on my desk on the RIGHT hand side of my monitor and not my left side, it fixes some of the FPS issues, it went up at least double.

Also i had to position my wallet and key into a draw instead on having them on the desk next to me before it would let me load any saved games. I hope this helps others with similar issues.

Also DO NOT drink anything with MILK in it when you look at your Pipboy (ie Coffee or Tea or milkshake), this seems to be what is causing the Pipboy graphics to look blurry and low res. This also applies if your pregnant and briast feeding while playing as the game cannot tell that its the baby and not you drinking the milk.

Of course this only applies to CE on the PC. I don't know about regular editions. :homestar:

I've tried and tried to use my pip boy to answer phone calls while I'm playing. This doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something? What could I be doing wrong? Could it be the radio signals creating interference? I've tried with the light off, thinking it might be a power issue. No dice, this is happening both inside and outside of buildings. At high elevations and underground. It just rings and rings, no way of answering it. :/

Sure it's not a reminder from the previous user who's cold hand's it was pried off from? It could be telling you to hurry and get that water chip

Is there a keyboard shortcut key for turning the pages on the comic book or game manual in the CE Box?

If there is one, can it be re-mapped to the "2" key? I ask becuase when i press the "2" key there is a quite obvious picture of some ammo rounds and some arrows going between them in what looks to be a "switching" fashion... and i would assume this picture represents "Able to be re-mapped t something you desire"...
... just as simple logic would assume that a sign on the road of "people walking" would indicate that the road is slippery when wet.

Devs please comment on my GF's briasts. Can we get an official Bethesda response please?

I still can't get my pip boy to answer my phone calls. I have upgraded to the pip boy 3 billion, while more fashionable and a chick magnet, it has not helped in this regard.

This is becoming a real problem, it's been over a week and I haven't figured this one out. I'm sure that friends, family, probation officer, dog, personal psychic must be wondering why I'm not answering their calls.

Can someone please help me? Should I contact Vault Tec directly?

P.S. What button flushes my computer chair? Hygiene is becoming a issue.

just a few moments ago something happend. i think i broke the comic book.
it fell down, and now is agape on one end and it kind of shattered into a low of thin pieces. it didn't come fully apart. it's still connected on the one end.

maybe i can mend it with some ducktape.


i liked it really much the way it was before and i thought about putting it up on a stand so i could look at it more often, but now i'm kind of ashamed that i broke it . . . =(

why wasn't there any label that those things where so fragile? =(

the comic book has leaves in it that have images on them!
and there is text in there, too!!

i noticed this as i was trying to repair the comic book to it's former condition!
while still grieving about the destroyed keepsake, i carefully spread some of the leaf-like parts apart. through the veil of tears i caught a glimpse of those colorful images.
it took me some time to realize what this was. usually books in fallout are just scrollable text on your pipboy and they normally don't have images in them.

i have to admit, that i found it kind of hard to find out what was going on with the story of that comic book, when i was looking at it from the outside. to be honest, the image on the comic book looks kind of chaotic.
but now there is a whole lot more to discover!
page upon page with humor and nice colorful images.

so, this isn't really a glitch anymore, i guess.
but i'm happy i haven't destroyed that part of my collectors edition.

and i'm glad Viande_de_Chien warned us about the coming apart of the gaming card. so i haven't touched mine.
don't want to break any more stuff today, that i might want to keep for late. =)
