Why are you people all complaining about this, Europe almost always gets the same collector's edition as the rest of the world. And all Bethesda games (Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallout 3) had a collector's edition released in Europe.
It's the other stuff, like these pre-order bonuses that are only available to Americans. Except via download services like D2D and STEAM, but heavily DRM protected and unmoddable games (D2D), or a pre-order price of 50 EURO (STEAM) ... no thanks.
It has been a while, but as far as I remember the CE of FO3 was available for pre-order in Europe sooner then 2 months before the release, and at more sites. Personally I ordered my FO3 CE from Amazon.co.uk.
Sometime between then and now the CE of various games have begun to arrive later and at fewer retailers. To me that is a worrying trend, one that a thread like this can help counteract.
It shines a light on the problem, so that hopefully the FO4 release of the CE will go smoother in Europe. While at the same time helping Europeans finding a place to preorder the CE.
And yes posts with a message like “they hate us” or “(insert name of devlepor/puplisher/distributer/retailer) svcks” are neither very constructive, nor that helpful to someone looking for a place to pre-order the CE. But on a public forum that is unavoidable, and actuarially quite mild expressions of frustrations (especially after there was a dev reply in here). And if they were deleted would just make maters worse.
As long as there are more constructive and helpful posts, so that this thread stay open, all is good.
