Post » Sat Aug 21, 2010 12:30 am

Been lurking here a while, just a heads up:

Game.co.uk Now have the collectors edition up for pre order :)

Too bad they dont have a pre-order bonus like all the american stores...

Yeah true, correct me if i'm wrong tho', but aren't the pre order bonuses like early access to those items ingame? or is pre ordering the only way you can get them?

Some items are slightly tweaked/reskinned versions of items you get in the game.
Nothing worth raging about IMHO, but I can understand not everyone has my priorities.

Why are you people all complaining about this, Europe almost always gets the same collector's edition as the rest of the world. And all Bethesda games (Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallout 3) had a collector's edition released in Europe.

It's the other stuff, like these pre-order bonuses that are only available to Americans. Except via download services like D2D and STEAM, but heavily DRM protected and unmoddable games (D2D), or a pre-order price of 50 EURO (STEAM) ... no thanks.

So posts like "they hate us Europeans" because they think they're not getting the CE isn't complaining then?

Hmm, nope its opinion. An exaggerated one, but still not complaining.

Good to see that GAME have finally put the CE of NV on their site -- some of the goodies look pretty down nice. I'm holding off my pre-order, though; you never know when Obsidian (or is it Bethesda who handles this stuff?) might decide to release the pre-order packs in Europe.

The bonuses with pre-ordering aren't amazing, no, but I really like the look of that Lightweight Leather Armour.

Steam are offering the Caravan pack with a pre-order from them in the UK.....

Give it a few weeks and i think GAME will have a pre-order pack of their own.

It has been a while, but as far as I remember the CE of FO3 was available for pre-order in Europe sooner then 2 months before the release, and at more sites. Personally I ordered my FO3 CE from Amazon.co.uk.

Sometime between then and now the CE of various games have begun to arrive later and at fewer retailers. To me that is a worrying trend, one that a thread like this can help counteract.

It shines a light on the problem, so that hopefully the FO4 release of the CE will go smoother in Europe. While at the same time helping Europeans finding a place to preorder the CE.

And yes posts with a message like “they hate us” or “(insert name of devlepor/puplisher/distributer/retailer) svcks” are neither very constructive, nor that helpful to someone looking for a place to pre-order the CE. But on a public forum that is unavoidable, and actuarially quite mild expressions of frustrations (especially after there was a dev reply in here). And if they were deleted would just make maters worse.

As long as there are more constructive and helpful posts, so that this thread stay open, all is good.

Personally I just went ahead and pre-ordered the PC Collector's Edition from GameStation.co.uk, as I wasn't prepared to wait for the Finnish stores to add it. It'll most likely cost more over here anyway, so I figure I got a good deal. Pre-order pack? Pff. I don't really care whether I get one or not.

And yeah, Game.co.uk, GameStation.co.uk, and Gameplay.co.uk have the same pricing, as it's the same company, so it doesn't matter which one you pick, unless you care about the possibility of getting a different pre-order pack from one of them later on.

I guess this is where this is all heading:

The Mafia 2 CE for thePC in Germany is only available at a certain retailer, it'n not available at any online store. So if there is no store near you, you are doomed.

Official News: http://bethblog.com/index.php/2010/08/17/fallout-new-vegas-pre-order-details-for-europe-australia-and-south-africa/
And no they do not mention all language zones, just the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland here in Europe.

Yeah, the PC CE version is now sold out in Finland, as only CDON.COM had it on sale... for about 100€. And like I said in my previous post, I pre-ordered my copy from the UK instead (GameStation.com), so I'm apparently getting the Mercenary Pack as well. If you convert it all to euros, it's 99.95€ - 60.70€ = 39.25€, which is how much money I saved by ordering from the UK.

In France also, there is no Collector Edition available yet. I wonder why it's available in germany (Amazon), and not in France or UK...

I know that official news say that it can be in few weeks, but like a lot of people, I will buy the game the day it's released. And people who are fans who buy collector editions won't wait weeks after the official release.

For Fallout3, I didin't look for the game, but when I saw the lunchbox, and what was inside, that decided me to buy it ! :vaultboy:
