Collectors Edition in Europe? : Fallout: New Vegas

Any word from Game on when we can preorder CE?

No they just said not at the minute check back nearer the relase date i have now be on the Game.co.uk, play.com, amazon.co.uk and the game station websites and not one of them has the CE pre orderable :facepalm: . as i said before i just wish they would give us a straght reply as to when we are going to get it and hopefuly it will be what the US has got as there CE. but dont hold your breath you will probly pass out by the time any thing is sorted out :lol:

:( They seem to think we have no problem with waiting until last minute. I just want to know I've definately got the CE, not go on the assumption that I will have it.

Its june now and still no word..

I shop with HMV but have tryed all UK shops & no one can say when or if they will get the collectors edition even tho we was told it would be world wide.

we still have 4 months yet, give it time.

we got the CE for fallout 3 so i think we will get it for New Vegas.

Just had a look at the game spy website and they have got the release date for the CE as the 22nd october 2010 for the UK but that does not explaine why we can not pre order it yet. the link is below:

The release date for the CE will be (and it is) the same as the release date for the standard :laugh:

Yeah but if that is the case why can we not pre order it. And about the date it is what i have read so sorry if it is wrong but if a site that you use alot is saying it is one date and then another one is saying something else what are you going to do. :laugh:

Ask them why we can't pre order it, I think they're cutting it damn fine.
And 22nd has been confirmed as the UK and Europe date since e3 began earlier this week, you might have seen the North America date aswell to add to the confusion.

Yeah they are cutting it fine but yeah the dates are a bit confusing :confused: gamespy (who are showing the relase date as the 22nd october) most of the time are pretty spot on with the dates. but if you look at the places like play.com they have a relase date of the 29th october. strange just wish they would sort this out as it is really annoying now. Hurry up and let us pre order it already! :banghead:

It's probably the estimate still up on play.com. And the delay could mean we're getting a different CE, another thing to worry about. :sadvaultboy: Although they did say it would be worldwide, but you can take this as meaning one of several things, e.g. the same CE will be release worldwide, or the CE will, which leaves room for alterance.

That it is. i have just written to gamespy and i will say if i get a reply. And bethesda better make sure that we get the CE version that other countrys are getting and pre order bounses for makeing us sweat like this.

Frankly speaking, I'd like to know what it's going to be for the EU CE pretty soon. How am I supposed to take a two week trip to somewhere where there's no internet access without knowing? I'd only come back to hear that the CE pre-orders sold out. And ordering from the one place that has the pre-order available would cost a fortune (see below).

http://cdon.fi/pelit/title/search?q=new+vegas has the CE (all platforms) available for pre-order. The link leads to the Finnish subsite of the company, but they also have it on their Danish, Norwegian and Swedish subsites.

Since Finland uses Euro, we have to shell out 99.95€ (121USD) for the PC CE though (360 & PS3 CEs are 109.95€), so at that rip-off price I'll skip pre-ordering it for now. Thanks to varying currency rates, Danes and Swedes can get the CEs for about 6€ cheaper, Norwegians some 3€ cheaper (calculated from the local currency-to-Euro rates).

I certainly hope that these are just one store's arbitrary prices, and don't represent the final price range in Europe.

That's strange, and doesn't strike me as legit.
Notice how the PC price is higher, whereas the recommended retail price in the US is some 10 dollars less for the PC version :huh:

Seriously though, that's why I'm hoping that these are just arbitrary numbers, and not the actual recommendated prices. CDON.COM is a well known store in Northern Europe though. Still... the PC CE costs about 70$ in the US, but CDON.COM would have me pay the equivalent of 121$ for it - no sale.

That price is still a rip-off one... it translates to 111USD, whereas the original price in the US is 80USD for the console CEs. Whatever shipping fees there might be just don't make up for that difference, as they aren't that high when you move items in bulk.

I agree; it's obviously just a matter of time before the European CE details become publicly available. It's frustrating to wait though, because it would be much more convenient (at least for me) to get the pre-ordering done early. There's a lot more to summer than spending your time watching store catalogues for updates.

Edit: To be more specific, people in smaller countries (like Finland) really need to pay attention to the CE pre-order options because the CEs tend to sell out pretty quickly when it comes to the most anticipated games.
