*SPOILER ALERT* Hey guys is the College of Winterhold questline after you complete "Revealing the Unseen" still broken? I just made a new character and this just happened to me where I can't go any further after completing "Revealing the Unseen." The Arch-Mage lies dead outside of the college, when speaking to Mirabelle it doesn't show the correct dialoge required to begin the next quest, and a new quest does not appear after I am done talking to Mirabelle. I am playing on the Xbox 360 so console commands are not an option. Is Bethesda going to fix this ever??? Wtf Bethesda

That bug was not addressed by the most recent patch and likely never will be, as it is supposedly quite rare. According to the http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Revealing_the_Unseen#Bugs, the exact cause is unknown, but here are a few things that may trigger the bug and in parenthesis a possible solution:

• Killing the mage from the Synod (don't kill him)
• May be related to interference with other questlines including the main quest and the Dark Brotherhood.
  • Not yet returning to Riverwood during the main questline quest "A Blade in the Dark" (completing this quest and advancing all the way past "Diplomatic Immunity" may allow the College of Winterhold questline to continue)
  • Not yet entering the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary during the quest "With Friends Like These" (completing this quest and advancing all the way past "A Cure for Madness" may allow the College of Winterhold questline to continue)
