Collision mesh problems

Post » Wed Aug 08, 2012 12:07 am

This existed when I first purchased the game and still exists after all the patch updates, what's going on?
To explain, this happens mostly near Vegas around the Fiends territory but has also happened on the road from Primm to Novac, suddenly my character and any followers are falling through the road/terrain, we take on the idle animation of jumping from a low ledge or something, it also makes it so you cannot interact with some objects such as containers, they just don't have a collision, I can correct it by making a save quit to the menu screen and load up that save, but it's getting annoying to have to keep doing that, is there a fix to stop this irritating bug?

Not sure if the same thing causes it in Fallout as OB but have you by chance tweaked the grids to load setting in the ini file ?? (if it has one) In Oblivion raising this setting caused this type of thing. Setting it back to default would fix it.

I had this problem when I first got the game, I have set uGrids to 7 but that was only done less than a week ago, I've had this almost from the moment it was released, I'll set it back, but it will be a shame as the draw distance is poor at 5, not to mention it's less fun for a sniper character, anyhow thanks for the advice.
