I put down some collision planes a few days ago and today I've loaded up the cell they're in and they are now transparent, not yellow as before - why?

At first I thought they'd all deleted themselves because I couldn't see them until on closer inspection I could make out only the outlines.

Try this: deselect everything in your cell and then do alt+1.
