Barkley says he watched Major Strickland die at Luchan (Crysis 1- I'm a Marine son, I'll walk on water if I have to"). There were at most three or four people who could have seen that looking out of the back of the Vtol. Nomad was one of them. Chances are he was the most senior officer and the rest were grunts. Granted, going from Lt. to Colonel in three years is fast track, but obviously these are special circumstances. Strickland was the commanding officer so there were probably no other majors. So somebody got fast tracked and had at least two promotions in three years.

I know the voice is different as well, it was just a thought.

Doubt full as Nomad and Psyco went back to the island after Prophet and that the suits are symbiotic and only work on a new person if the previous wearer is dead, also if he was Nomad he would know how deadly the Ceph are and he would mostlikely have N1 suit on.

Add to this the fact that Nomad is 22, and Barkley is clearly older.

OP, for Christ's sake, you can't even spell LingShan properly. Nomad is dead, Prophet most likely had to trigger the self destruction protocols on Nomad's suit (under his request) cause he became a Dead-Man Walking, just like Alcatraz.

"Facepalm" he knows that, the picture was just concept art, the guy in the pic was never confirmed to be Nomad. That was before they had even created the nanosuit properly.

First off without even referencing the first games, Prophet says his team is dead 5 minutes into the game.
Secondly, your character in Crysis was Delta Force; not Marines. So he couldn't become a Colonel in the Marine Corp.

My theory is that helena, Psycho and Nomad never met Prophet on the Island... he already went through the gate when they arrived.
So Prophet probably thought the rest of his team died on the aircraft carrier.
Also Prophet would never kill Nomad or Psycho.. Nomad even saved his life.
And why the hell some guys think that all Nonosuit squads are dead? What would have killed them?
Prophet died because he was somehow infected by the sephs virus.. but Nomad and Psycho arent infected, so why should they be dead right now?
Also Helena has shown some tweaking skills for the Nanosuit in Crysis 1... when there are problems with the suits she probably could have helped Nomad and Psycho.

I think/hope we will see Helena, Nomad and Psycho again...
