you know, if we'd be in the Fallout universe, and you'd enlist and become an NCR soldier, they'd treat you like crap and not give a damn about your freaking life... just sayan'

Thats just terrible but doest the Legion do that to??

Hsu. Cronyism is the only reason Oliver has those stars, and the only reason Hsu is a desk jockey and Moore is at the dam.

I liked Crocker. He seems the sort to extend the right hand in friendship, but keep the left hand holding the dagger grip... just in case. Pragmatic. But since he's not a bloodthirsty jingo... "*#$ing crocker couldn't find his ass if it wasn't on his backside."

I said this before in a different thread long ago... The problem isn't Kimball/Oliver/Moore, they're just a symptom. it's the endemic jingoism that has taken over the NCR populace that put them there.

The best thing you can do for them is to give them a bloody nose. Save Kimball so he becomes the personification of jingoism's folly and takes the blame. Kill Oliver to show them you mean business. Don't blow Hanlon's cover over his dirty deed, or tell him to quit. His endgame for that is he becomes so bitter over the squandering of soldiers' lives that he is motivated to run for senate, decrying Kimball all the way to the seat he ran for.

" While relaxing in his quarters" According to reports from the NCR, I would value Colonel Hsu ten fold over Colonel Moore, because Hsu is a all around more capable leader who thinks and listens to what is going on before making a decision than the Warhawk Moore. Huh, she kind of reminds me of Hardin, he was always a bit of a hot head, and somewhat impulsive, but a good Paladin.

Moore yelled at me for getting the most elite and well-equipped fighting force in the Mojave Wasteland on her side (and removed from the equation as a potential enemy) at the exact moment she needed troops the most.

Blankety blank her up the unprintable.

 Commanding officers tend to get that way when their orders aren't followed. She had already done four tours of duty fighting the BOS in the west so the idea that a Courier from who knows where would make an alliance with her long-time enemy just doesn't make sense to her. It's completely understandable and she's my only Infamy in the game; I'm still going to do it my way. :)

I believe Colonel Hsu handles logistics so their jobs are very different too. :)

Hsu would be a general if Oliver didnt know the president.

Oh, I understand that it makes sense for the character, but hell if I'm gonna like her for whining that I didn't infiltrate the base of the most lethally skilled organization in the entire Wasteland and try to kill all of them for her. :P

Moore. She had that great brutal vibe ala Helena Kane for Battlestar Galactica, and I have to admit that I totally had the hots for her. I loved the brisk dismissal of Crocker, the belief in the NCR's legitimacy, and the steadfast dedication to destroy the Legion, not to mention the calculating callousness she displayed as she relished the thought of exploiting the Great Khans as meat shields. Sure, her ruthlessness was pretty myopic at times, but you got the sense that there was backbone behind her bluster, which is more than one can say about Oliver.

Yeah, Hsu and Crocker were decent folks, but imo they amounted to nothing more than sturdy cogs in the otherwise malfunctioning machinery of the NCR bureaucracy. Sure, they worked well, and it was a good thing they were there, but they didn't inspire much passion or drive. Moore did. For some reason she was the only NCR character that made me feel that the NCR could not only defeat the legion, but deserved to, and she was one of the only characters that gave the NCR any appeal whatsoever (sixual or otherwise)

They're both excellent officers suited for different roles. Hsu should really have Oliver's job. He seems to understand the role of a theater commander and is functionally performing it anyway since Oliver abandoned McCarran. Moore seems perfect for the task she should be doing (defending the Dam) but since he's incompetent Oliver lets her take charge of affairs like dealing with the Brotherhood, Great Khans, House and the Families that should really be his responsibility while he micromanages the defenses of the Dam.

Hsu is that way only because he's been sidelined because of Crony Boy Oliver. He's not a General who would otherwise be harassing the holy crap out of the Legion, who would listen to Hanlon. He doesn't have the troops needed to secure the New Vegas region from the Fiends because Crony Boy is pulling every troop he can get ahold of to be part of his glorious meat grinder.

Moore's myopia is her greatest and fatal flaw. She doesn't shoot first and ask questions later, she only shoots and doesn't bother with questions.

Well, that certain elite fighting force and the NCR aren't exactly on the best of terms. HELIOS 1 is still a sore spot, I'm sure, so you can't really blame her for not liking them.
That being said, Moore did irritate me more, but at least she got the job done.

Moore- pronounced "more"
Hsu- pronounced "Shoe"

I think i'll side with more, over a shoe.

Hsu has a level head about things, If the NCR was filled with good people like him, maybe I will hate them less, Moore I can not stand, she almost compromised my NCR run through

Yeah. A pretty bloodthirsty passion :hubbahubba:

Yah its kinda a slap in her face when they need troops and you get her troops and she complains...ITS LIKE WTF is your problem. Plus these soldiers are more highly trained than NCR and a far Superior.
