I was using my "recon powerful pipe revolver" and when you zoom in, the colors go similar to a black and white... which also makes the screen a little fuzzy looking too (especially around the edges of the screen). Well, something happened when I zoomed in and now the colors and fuzziness won't go away. Another small but possibly significant issue is that every time I save my game, I like to delete old game saves (to save space... or so I think). So I can't really revert back at this point because I didn't think this problem was going to last. I have rest the game, reset the computer, tried running the game and steam in Administrative mode... and I have tried reproducing the glitch by zooming in and out with the weapon. I have also tried to go into the game settings and resetting the video graphics... NOTHING has worked.

Unfortunately this savegame is likely glitched.
Best solution - reload a previous savegame (or at least check it out).
These things have a way of getting baked into the savegame...

Do you have a Radeon vidcard?
There should be new AMD Radeon drivers any day now, which will deal with bugs like this.

Make 'full' game saves every now & then. Don't rely on just autosaves and quickies.
Deleting too many savegames is not recommended.
I have a big harddisk F:/ labelled STEAM_DISK but my saves are stored on C:/ in My Documents.
So, saving space in your My Documents shouldn't be a big priority for you...
Or else you might need a bigger Windows (C:/) drive.

If you get a new game going without the glitch, great.
But I'd be worried that it might reoccur?
Hopefully new vidcard drivers will address issues like this, for everyone.
And you can just play.
