Colour Anomalies - Cause?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:30 pm

Happens with Dynamic Weather, but not Fellout. Doesn't seem to matter what else is in the load order, either.

But I'm almost certain I've used Dynamic Weather before (some time back) and not had this issue, so... it could be some kind of incompatibility, I suppose.

https://picasaweb.google.com/113520644781376104771/Fallout3Album1?authkey=Gv1sRgCKXp0oG8yOT3qQE&feat=directlink is the anomaly I'm talking about, by the way. Between shots 1 and 2, and between 3 and 4, there's only one step, and a couple of seconds. Otherwise, identical in every way. Or, they should be. ;)

Is this a known issue? Just point the way, if so. Must admit, I'm out of the loop, somewhat, with FO3. Been spending too much time with Oblivion, once again. :D

So, sorry if it's a dumb question (another?) or whatever.

Are you also using megaton lighting overhaul.

Nope.

I've tried with and without various other mods (e.g., Ultra Realistic Wasteland Lighting). For some reason (no idea what) it still does that.

Well let Xepha know in his official thread. Otherwise he may not see it.

What about outside of megaton?

Just Megaton, so far. The "normal" images are the more colourful ones, the exceptions - in one section of Megaton only, it would seem - being desaturated, and maybe something else.

edit: And, as for reporting it, I normally would go about things that way, but... it it's just me, or maybe some other mod I'm using, I'd rather just try to sort it out, without getting in the way of an official release thread.

I think I'm right in saying, but that isn't Dynamic Weather - the desaturated images maybe - but the full colour ones look more like fellout. The extra upper clouds, I'm not too sure about - but those horizon clouds aren't mine (they're too... colourful. ;)).

You're not trying to mix and match weather mods are you? Because weather mods don't really get along. You can't, for example, have the dark nights of this mod and the full colour days of that mod, it just doesn't work that way - it's either this mod or that mod. But if it is only happening in megaton then something else could be going on.

A load order would probably help at this point. :)
