Colours screwed up in FO1

So I bought fallout one,and it installed fine the problem is I can see the intro movie fine but then the colours get all screwed up and I can only see crazy blurs.If I skip the intro the screen turns green,forcing me to exit.Can anyone help?

Alt-Tab back to Windows and then click back into the game and it should clear things up (sometimes you have to do it more than once.) This is a common glitch in the game, but that usually works to clear it up.

If your running Vista it wont run right. FO2 and tactics work fine but Ive never gotten FO1 to run properly on VISTA. If your running XP try running in compatibilty mode for win98 if that does not work check of the box for running in 256 colors as well.

I'm on vista and it works fine.

Be sure to install all the patches, and if you want the best gaming experience this includes the fan made ones.

There are many available on NMA.

I had the same problem you had a while ago, and this also included an annoying black screen. Patching it eliminated your problem, and a french program that runs on the background eliminated my black screen problem (just in case you get it also)

Here is the thread. Just go on the website and files, look for FO1, and find the official patches (and X-Teams, I think it is called)
