Colovians, Nibeneans, and Nedes

Looking around for some good info on the Imperial peoples. Interpretations of the province are welcome as well.

I've found some good stuff so far (like the Pocket Guides to Empire) but there are some things I've lost that need finding again (complete list of Nedes tribes mentioned so far).

Also, I'm curious as to where Cheydinhal (and to a lesser extent, Bruma) falls with regard to the Colovian/Nibenean split. I think its obvious that Chorrel/Skingrad/Kvatch/Sutch/Anvil make up Colovia, and Imperial City/Bravil/Leyawiin make up Nibenay, with Bruma largely being a Nordic place. But Cheydinhal seems removed enough from the Nibenean low lands to be a member of that culture. Are they a mini-culture of sorts, living on the slopes of the Valus Mountains?

There are no Colovians or Nibeneans, in Oblivion. The Song of Pelinal is the best source on the tribes. Remanada is the spiritual antecedent, of the Song of Pelinal. Just based on the Third Edition's map, and the description of Colovians as a highland people, you can assume hill cities are supposed to be Colovian. So, that includes Cheydinhal, even though it's furthest East.

The in-game guide to Cheydinhal saysit lies in the Nibenean East.

Though Cheydinhal lies in the Nibenean East, its culture is shaped by the Dark Elf immigrants who emigrated here in the past half century from Morrowind. Many of these immigrants were fleeing Morrowind's rigid society and heathen Temple theocracy. In Cyrodiil they hoped to find the stimulating commercial atmosphere inspired by Zenithar's patronage.

Colovia is the western part of Cyrodiil and is known for its austere, martial culture and rugged population of Nordic descendants. Most of the population resides in the cities of the south, although there are scattered farms and settlements throughout the area. The region around the sea port of Anvil is known as the Gold Coast. The region around Skingrad is known as the West Weald, and is well known for its vineyards and tomato farms. The city of Kvatch lies on a rocky outcrop between Anvil and Skingrad, with the Imperial Reserve stretching away to the north. The city of Chorrol is the main population center in the northern part of Colovia, a hilly, forested region known as the Colovian Highlands. Colovia's liberation came late in the Alessian Uprising, after the support of Skyrim was secured. When Nibenay was dominated by the Alessian doctrine, Colovia resisted eastern rule and contributed to its final fall. The region has traditionally contributed its sons to the Imperial Legion, making up the bulk of its ranks in native legions.

There ya go for your Colvian cities, Cheydinhall is considered a Nibian City, the major characteristic of the 'Colovians' being their heritage rather than the geological position is appears.

Also, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Nibenay_Basin lists Cheydinhall in the basin as well,

Addressed to Michael Kirkbride specifically: I wish we had a Imperial creation myth describing how the Imperials are descendant from moths. Or, at least, how their ancestors are "made manifest" in such moths.

Thanks for that confirmation on Cheydinhal. Then it lies firmly in the Nibenean culture (with Dunmer influence).

EDIT: Nedic tribe list so far includes...

Kothri
Al-Gemha
Men-of-Ge
Al-Hared
Men-of-Ket
Men-of-'Kreath
Nede
Orma
The Thousand-Strong of Sedor
Keptu
Yespest
Horwalli

A strike-through indicates tribes that were destroyed/disappeared. Color indicates where they came from (blue-skyrim, green-blackmarsh, white-not known, presupposed to be from the Niben area, although its possible they came from elsewhere).

Did I miss any?
