Chainsaw Ramsey - Paradise Falls
Offering a small, businesslike smile, Ramsey took in the site of the leader of Paradise Falls once more. He'd met the man before on a similar errand, though much more briefly and with less to speak of, the same eerie tone pervading the man. This time however, Lord Ashur had asked for a substantial amount of slaves and in the most recent letter, ordered the Chainsaw to, at his discretion, trade surplus slaves that his men took from the wastes for supplies such as food and medicine. This meeting would mark a significant point in the relationship between the Pitt and the Falls and hopefully lead to more than just the occasional business.
Crowley, in his pitch-black attire, extended his hand and welcomed the Pitt representatives, offering the Ramsey's men with free refreshments. Ramsey took the man's hand in a firm handshake, " The name's Ramsey, pleasure to be back at the Falls. Lord Ashur was more than happy with the previous ' workers ', as he calls them, that he's gotten before and asked that I make another visit. And the trip, well, let's just say it was lively. Anyway, sure, private's fine by me, " he said, turning back to his men.
" Boys, go have what you want at the bar. Don't drink yourselves to death, I'll be back a little later, " Ramsey ordered, following Crowley deeper into the old theater. Taking a little bit of a look, Ramsey noted that this décor was much different than Eulogy had kept. More...bland, more about business than pleasure. Chainsaw could appreciate the change, he'd always had a disdain for Eulogy's way of keeping his place of business. Further inside, Ramsey was shown to a couch across from the one Crowley took and a moment later, a multitude of drinks were offered. At the word whiskey, the raider-boss nodded, " Whiskey'd be fine for me, " and soon he had just that.
Crowley took his own and offered for business to commence and so Ramsey thought it best to start. After taking a swig of the whiskey, letting the burn slide down his throat, the Chainsaw sat his glass down and brought his leg up onto the other, easing back into the couch, arms atop it.
" Mr. Crowley, Lord Ashur if you know, has some high standards for his slaves. He likes them to be strong enough for the rough work in the Pitt's mills and steelyards, furnaces too. Those types of places take a lot more than most wasteland rats have and so he needs ones that can really take a hit, ones that can survive working in such dangerous places. Things have gotten better in the Pitt but it sure as hell isn't safe, the scabs have it the worst, " noted Ramsey, slipping back into the Pitt's slang for a moment.
" With that said, he needs a lot of slaves too. The Pitt's a big place with more work to be done than he can find hands for. The wasteland, anywhere, has a bunch of no-goods, useless people, that are ripe for the taking but this DC area has more than I've seen in a long time. You and your men have gotten something good going on here and it meets Lord Ashur's standards and then some. So, you are the best source for what we need, outside of doing it ourselves. All this in mind, Lord Ashur, like you were told before, is very interested in a large purchase of healthy, durable scabs for his operations in the Pitt. The question is, can you meet that kind of demand? And for what cost? My boys can send down weapons and steel, steel might be something you could use around the Falls. It's perfect for reinforcing walls and barriers and whatever else you could need. Maybe even use it when you expand, if you plan on it. Choice is all yours but I came to find out just how you'd like this all to go. That and one other tidbit. "
Ramsey ran a gloved hand through his thick, bushy, black beard and cleared his throat some. " Lord Ashur gave me the power to do what I think is best when it comes to the camps and our operation out here. So, after his requests, I have the authority for the Pitt here. I figured a long while ago that the Pitt here in DC and Paradise Falls should do more together. Not just sales and all that, but help each other out, have each other's backs. Everyone out there is getting riled up from what I hear and it's never a bad idea to team up with someone who has the same ideas. I'd like to offer something more than business, a sort of alliance, between the Pitt and Paradise Falls. What'dya say? "
