Plasma weapons? [censored]. Nobody has the capacity to routinely field plasma weapons outside of the Enclave, a decent number of those [censored] AER 9000 rifles I'm fine with but packing plasma on a wide-scale is dubious.

Hey Fish the scouting unit was outside of Mama Dolce. Wrote that if you want to do something with them or not, they will be on their merry way.

Ya I agree.

Well plan for Point Lookout to come for you

I'll weigh in real quick on the Regulator situation, I don't have an qualms about them having armor similar to combat armor or at least leather armor but I don't think anyone outside of the Enclave/Outcasts should pack energey weapons on a large scale.

Plasma should be exclusive to Enclave, that is something that should remain unchanged. Laser can be more wide spread but just barely, remember the only factions in F3 with energy weapons were the BoS, Enclave and Outcasts

Alright, I had thought as much. If you give me a little while and have that team not do anything, I'll integrate it into my entry post. It should work quite well actually- so thanks for that.

Also, Dalek, that was a wonderful first post, if I may say so.

Not sure why everyones saying that I'm packing these weapons on a wide scale?

As said in my faction sheet "The Regulator armory consists of a multitude of weapons, most regulators stick to the conventional use of assault rifles and shotguns, higher up officers are given higher grade weaponry such as laser rifles and plasma rifles"

The only person even mentioned carrying a Plasma rifle is Ulysses, and it's a personal weapon

Thanks for the feedback, Ranger, Fisheye. I was a bit apprehensive at taking the "isolated and crazy" approach as my first post, since first posts are always a chance to showcase your world, but I want to focus on Mister De Burgo more than just his faction. I feel it will give it a unique flare that really brings De Burgo to life in a post-apocalyptic world.

But homw many officer? For Saint Catherine, the Paladins are 25 in number and bought most of their energy weapons from traders in New England and Ashcroft has a super sledge he bough from a trader for a lot of money in NE.

I was actually surprised by that post though intrigued for more. Hope to see what's next. :D

What I want to know, more than anything, is how they got those weapons. You also have to explain just how many are floating around.

You haven't mentioned my point that your faction is different from the one in-game, you tried to justify the weapons with game logic but the two organizations are different.

No problem at all Dalek.

I didn't write the Plasma Rifle explanation because it's unnecessary, the Regulators have maybe 12 Plasma Rifles at most gained through trading and given to the higher ranking members

Combat Armor written up:

During the years the Regulators were able to stock up on Combat armor by both killing people with bounties and through the many battles the Talon company and the Regulators have had in the past. They've also been able to strike deals with different people in the past, one that is very necessarily noted is Rivet city and trade caravans, though the Rivet City Combat armor trade is not in progress any longer, it supplied the group with a large amount of combat armor. They've also been abled to gain combat armor from caravan raids they've seen, they mostly get the armor when they see the raider after it's already been done. Once eliminating the raiders they take the items the dead trader had.

Using these armors, they been able to break them down and fit them inside the Regulator dusters, giving a unique look.

Trading with who though? Who's sold these almost impossible to find weapons to the Regulators? The laser rifles are a bit easier to come by.

Is it stated in any sheet that the Regulators and Talon have fought extensively enough, and won enough, to outfit an entire army? Did the Rivet City sheet say that this deal was in place? Not sure how many traders, aside from Crow who specialized, sell combat armor in any sort of large quantity.

1) Regular Merchants Sell Plasma Rifles rarely

2) It is stated that Regulators will normally go after Talon Company mercs due to there need to hunt evil

3) Rivet City is simply before anyone had control of them, also the business was concluded before anyone had control thus it's not necessary to be mentioned

4) Traders often sell Combat armor

1. Occasionally is the keyword. Even then, it should only be with the Enclave.

2. Where? In the game? I thought you said that the two were nothing alike? Completely different?

3. I'd say with more than a few people questioning, it's kind of necessary. You'd have to clear something like that with the person that controls Rivet City anyway.

4. Traders may sell them, but not in a large enough quantity to field an army in the hundreds.

Not sure why your getting so worked up about this but I'll play ball :twirl:

1) 12 Plasma Rifles over 5 years makes sense does it not?

2)

3] It could've simply been that a guard secretly sold Rivet city guard armor

4]This was collected over 5 years

My idea for Rivet City is mainly Aks, shotguns, and hunting rifles. As they are the easiest to produce and distribute, however the city is a trading hub so the market possesses many different arms.

I really hope you don't think I'm steaming mad or anything. Because I'm just asking questions.

1. Even then, I'd like to know where they came from. Traders is an easy excuse, but where did they come from? Those things aren't just left on the ground or in old buildings in working order.

2. That's not even relevant but I'll say it again, you already said that the game version of the Regulators is completely different to justify the armor or some such. You're treading water.

3. You're grasping at straws and even that would be something under the jurisdiction of the faction's leader.

4. 200-something suits over 5 years is still pretty out there.

1. Theres no way the BOS or Enclave retrieved all the Plasma Rifles used in the Enclave vs BOS war, it's safe to assume that scavengers would have gotten some

2. It is relevant... It said that they will occasionally spawn together and attack each other xD It wouldn't change the fact that they still fought each other

3. He just noted that Rivet city is a trading hub, thus armor would pop up there

4. with all those reasons I believe 200 suits over 5 years is reasonable

I feel like this has gotten to be a rather trivial issue. I think it's fine for the regulators to have a few plasma rifles, considering that they have been a large and highly trained group since the time of the Lone Wanderer. Conventional weapons are easily to come by and it is not hard to believe that they keep them in good working order. Laser weapons, are easy to come by and keep charged since E cells are everywhere like modern batteries. The plasma weapons should definitely be kept strict to Enclave and possibly Brotherhood factions, but I think 12 amassed over 5 years is fine.

To ask where they came from, and where their dealers come from is just needless. What's to say the Regulators didn't just shell out the caps to buy them? I know Tenpenny could, but I avoided that to avoid such questioning like this.

However, I also believe that if your regulators do have them in stock, that they should be used as reserve weapons. MF cells are hard to come by, so even if you did have plasma weapons there would be the demand for MF cells.

They're used only to protect the higher ranking officers so yeah I would consider them reserve weapons.

OK, now onto different things I wanna ask about

Fair enough when it comes to the energy weapons, I suppose. But the combat armor, I feel, is still an issue. It's just too much to have through occasional skirmishes at best and just picking them up here and there.

It's hard to keep a grasp on what range we have, when people can just have these sort of things in large numbers to fit large armies. The Pitt, for instance, is clad in at best metal armor which is not exactly that impressive. Most men simply have leather or raider-type armor, which again, is not that impressive. Just trying to sort it all out and see where the playing field is.

Wow, Tiberius, I am impressed with your latest post. At first I was confused and going to question why your characters were speaking German, or had any accent at all. I was going to make a post all about how the apocalypse would have erased any and all dialects and devolved into broken English as it (really isn't) is shown in Fallout, in the US.

But then I realized it was a Tranquility Lane simulation and was taken aback. Very interesting perpetuation.

You realize Metal Armor is better then Combat armor right?

Metal Armor = 36 DR

Combat Armor = 32 DR
