Combat mods and Perk trees - finding harmony in modding.

Ok, so I found that in the end Requiem wasnt going to work for me so now im looking for a way to work around it.

At this point I am looking at mods like Revenge of the Enemies for combat AI changes and maybe a few others to make combat deadly serious and balanced. The problem im facing now is that I have a number of overhaul mods that I already know I cant function without.

For a while I saw Requiem as the foundation then realized that it caused problems I couldnt ignore. So now the only reason I am keeping it is because of its static leveled lists functions and thats pretty much it.

I found that The People of Skyrim and Immersive Citizens can work together so they are very much a strong base for the new playthrough I want to build. Throwing Morrowloot, Unofficial Morrowloot Overhaul and scarcity on top makes for a nice touch. The problem now becomes that UMO and Requiem have a great many direct conflicts and in the end I have chosen UMO to win said conflicts. The problem is how do I get those choice elements from Requiem to stick while letting UMO have its way.

Thats the bigger picture im dealing with but the primary purpose of this thread is that I have been for the longest time absolutely clueless in respect to Perk Trees and how to get the right Perks for the right combat style and how to get the whole picture to behave the way its supposed to... At this point im just asking for someone to tell me from their own experience what they say is the best Perk Tree for brutally realistic combat and why.

Basically I want to make combat the way it should be in the real world (with a little room for forgiveness) If you take a blow to the head and dont have a helmet capable of protecting you, your dead, the end... I know of a number of mods that can give me this kind of stats but then it just becomes a question of balance. Perks, skills, and other things I dont have the foresight to consider in this regard.

And, of course, in the end, can I just stack a bunch of crap on top of Requiem to override whole cloth portions without breaking the game?

Bingo! http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66105/? looks like it might do what I need, can anyone confirm this?

The new version of ROTE is going to clash with Requiem, since Requiem is an unleveled/unscaled world and the focus of ROTE is to scale the enemies aggressively to make sure the PC cannot outlevel enemies. Since Requiem and the new version of ROTE are diametrically opposed in their approach, the main Requiem patch makers have decided not to make a patch for the new version of ROTE.

If you are going to try to use bits and pieces of Requiem and merge it with another big overhaul like Unofficial Morrowloot Overhaul, my prediction is its just going to create a mess. You are better off picking one overhaul and then making minor adjustments than trying to merge two or more big overhauls.

But the bigger question is, why do you need two threads to discuss the same set of issues?

Because this is not the same set of issues. This threat is focusing on Combat mods and Perk Trees. I added relevant information pertaining to my situation... I fail to understand why people bug me on this, I make threads for definitively different focus actions. People who understand Combat mods and Perk trees are not guaranteed to have any knowledge or even care about my comparison of two overhauls, the new title is meant to grab the attention of a new demographic...

Did you see my link?

Yes, I did. You have the link to MLU in both of your threads. My recommendation would be to pick either Requiem or MLU, rather than trying to combine them.

Well, if MLU has the same (or very similar) effect of deleveling the world then the only thing left I would need to drop Requiem all together would be an Alchemy Improvement that makes potions more useful, which was actually illuded to in MLU.

From the MLU description:

It looks like you can use MLU and this optional plugin to get your unleveled world, and then you would not need Requiem. I've no experience with MLU, but based on the above quoted language from the MLU description, it appears you can use it to get your unleveled world.

It would seem so, just need to figure out how to do that lol xD. Question now becomes, what mods can I use now that were previously off the table because of requiem? xD

Lots of research ahead of me...
