Combat mods for balanced combat

Good morning.

I recently started new FCOM COnvergence playthrough and looking for some serious combat overhauls.

Which ones do you - long time Oblivion players, recommend most and are using for more interesting, dynamic combat and make game balanced in overall. It's not only about one overhaul - ex. Deadly Reflex but those ovehauls have to be used ultimetly for every type of damage dealing - melee, bows and magic.

I wanted a little bit more detailed opinions from experienced users as I know a lot of overhauls but my point is to make the game feel balanced and bug-free as much as possible. I tried to run a few mods of this kind through fail and error method, but wanted to hear other users opinions from autopsy, that they know it runs okay in long-term.

Thanks in advance.

I don't use a combat mod or FCOM. I use Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul. I am happy with the way combat works with Maskar's mod that generally makes combat more difficult, especially at lower levels and adds a number of interesting features that affect combat, like silver weapons doing more damage to undead and stopping vampire health regen, deadric weapons damaging health and magicka, etc..

As you may know, the main combat overhauls for Oblivion are Deadly Reflex, Unnecessary Violence III and Duke Patrick's Melee No Recoil?Duke Patrick's Combat Archery. From what I have read, none of the major combat overhauls is 100% stable all the time, so proceed with caution when combining with a behemoth like FCOM.

Hopefully you will get some responses from people who actually use these combat overhauls. I have always been somewhat intrigued, but because of instability reports, I have shied away from them.

Edit: there is also a fairly new combat overhaul you may want to look at by Kobal http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45314/?
