Name one, if you can. Can't see any such thread, on the first page at least.

Anyway, combat mods... basically, the big ones are Deadly Reflex and Unnecessary Violence. But they're both due (very soon) for a major overhaul.

Use the search function at tesnexus.com - or google, even.

Btw, all the mods I posted are compatible with each other (even on my heavily modded FCOM gane, makes for a great action packed dirty bloody gritty combat experience. :prod:

These are common acronyms used for certain phrases and programs used in the modding community. I shall explain a few of the most relevant you posted.

[RELz]/[RELZ] - Release, means the project the thread is about has been released to the public in some form or another.

OBSE - Oblivion Script Extender, program used to allow mods to execute scripts that could never be created using regular oblivion.

TESCS - common acronym for "The Elder Scrolls: Construction Set"

Numbers.Numbers - The version of that project in its current state of release.

Beta - Project is released but is not totally complete, is still in need of final testing and polishing.

Numbers.Numbers.Beta.Numbers - The version of a project thats still in Beta and the number of the Beta Version

None that I have noticed, running NVidia GeForce 8500GT, 6GB Ram, Intel Duel Core 2.6GHz.

also if your willing to jump through the hoops of setting up FCOM it makes Oblivion a whole new game

Haha Yeah this part of the forum always seems to be really heavy on the Acronyms, really helps when your searching for something specific though. Add the {RELZ] to whatever your looking for and it thins down the search results a bunch cutting out all the projects that are still in development and do not have anything to download yet anyway lol.

Took me awhile to get around to installing FCOM, is a real pain if you do not already have Wrye Bash and its needed components. Did it all over a dailup connection as well so 1.6GB at 5kb a second rofl...

hahaha, dont think i'll be getting it with limited gigs anytime soon.... :P

yeah the Acronyms and (WIP) and (RELZ) things would be handy for u guys with such a busy forum  but over at the morrowind forum all we have to do is post a thread and people can guess what it is, there's not many of them :P

u just write :i'm making something" and everyone gives it a look like "wow another thread!!!!"

The first one tells you what it is in plain speak, except for the UOMP bit, which would be perfectly clear, upon reading the OP of that thread, most likely.
The second one just tells you what it is - again, in plain speak.
The third one, you can tell by the association from the second one (i.e, Oblivion Script Extender = OBSE) what half of that is, and the other half, only really matters if you are an Oblivion modder (a person who makes them, that is) - but either way, reading the OP of the thread should be enough to get the gist.
The last one is like the second. Plain speak. Beta isn't an uncommon term, anywhere online.

Any more? :)

edit: Version numbers are also everywhere, online.

edit2: I'd say you have half of one, so far. :D

update: Actually, you win - the latest thread, just started, is something like "OOO 133 uninstallation", or close enough. Yeah. :P One and a half, even. But then, I shouldn't have taken what you said originally, so literally. Hyperbole, anyone? :)

i can read it all, it just amazes me how much there used other here :P i like naming threads simple things, some times with some humor, makes it easier for people to read and want to look at rather than:

obmm 1.23 for users of obse b2.3.5 TESsc for 1.4.6.723 OB codepatch

Another great combat mod that you can download is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9219 a very light mod.
If you like to use magic try http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12466 it will make magic a force to reckon with.

WIPz, RELz etc. are standards for the Morrowind mods forum as well (and the Fallout 3 one). And acronyms as well: mlox, MGE etc. Actually, the Morrowind mod forum is the one to "blame" for this as it was where it all started. :swear:

Ooo, I like the look of UV. Not sure how I'm going to find enough keyboard real estate to use it alongside Deadly Reflex without having my hands fly all over the place.
