Also i had posted that i would have started to work on this mod as soon as my exam would have got over on 14th May and i did too but decided to give it a break when my attempts to get animations for player working using different less tiresome ways went in vain.So i decided to create animations using the method i did for my previous mod and hence you can say the main progress for this mod started yesterday and hence i created this thread today.
My apologies if the above things got you bored up(still i thought i shoud write those) but the main details about the mod start up from below:
Main Details :-
Well i have heard many of those who have played Morrowind complain that its combat svcks though it never appeared to me(i really like the hit and miss system) but still it lacks something in combat you can feel after playing some other games especially Combat Animations.Needless to say there have been many mods which try to improve Morrowind`s Combat and they indeed do very well especially Gratutious Violence but still i fell Morrowind`s Combat cannot be made at par with ones in Oblivion and Skyrim unless its Animations are overhauled to give a more action packed feeling so here i came in and tried to become a hero by creating my first mod (Combat Redefined I) trying to improve the Combat Animation but lost greatly mostly becuase i was a noob in Animation field and Morrowind`s Game Engine does not allow those who want to create animations for player using Blender to get them ingame easily without torturing their brains like hell which in turn combined with my noobic experience led to the quality of the animation look very bad combined with how the game tries to combine various animations during various situtations(ex-attacking while running or swimming),but still i was able to develop a technique which allowed the player to perform 9 different attacks(though not without many drawbacks) compared to game`s default 3 attacks Chop,Slash,Thrust.
So now about 8 months after the release of (Combat Redefined I) here i am trying to give it another try but things have changed a lot now,i have got a lot many new ideas now,i have learned many tricks in Blender though the game engine still totures the ones(atleast me)who try to create animations for player using Blender.Oh Man almost forgot about this:-Last i hadnt even joined the Forums even after releasing the mod but this time i am here at the forums hence trhough a WIPz Thread I have the support of you all who can give me feedbacks and suggestions on how can i improve the animations which i am gonna display here.
So most of you might ask whats going to be new this time compared to my previous mod so here is a list of some of them:
- Definitely Better Animations
- Previous ones covered only One Handed And Two Handed Weapons, this one is also gonna cover Hand to Hand and Spear Animations alongwith many other new Animations each made from scratch (including ones of One Handed and Two Handed Weapons)
basically almost every animation elated to Combat.
- Who said this thing will only be about Animations and Animations, there is also gonna be a whole new Combo Mechanism since I have provisons for 9 different Moves(and i have thought about a way to detect them ingame through scripting also),I am not going to go into much detail into this as of now though.
-Also a lot of new surprises(if the game allows me to).
Ok now many of you might be thinking that enough of nonsenese this guy is talking but where are the details on the progress of this mod through screenshots or videos,so guys and gals below are the details on the progress of the mod since yesterday:
Like eveyone (atleast myself) who would start with to improve the Combat Animation would do i have first started to create an animation for One Handed Weapon Idle Animation(the one that is played in 3rd Person View when you draw a One Handed Weapon and get lost viewing the breathtaking scenery of Morrowind or anything else i.e after drawing your weapon you are not doing any movement just standing still) Ok so after hous of hard work and trying to overcome the tortures of Game Engine here i present you what i have come up with and i think should be the Idle pose for the One Handed Weapon for my mod,but this is not the final one and hence i would like your view and suggestions on how i can improve this one,it is in the form of screenshots though i would have liked to display a video but it would have been very time consuming for displaying an Idle Pose so here it is:

http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/g416/TheHolyWraith/MGEScreenshot7-1.jpg
I want to post a lot more about this but time and your frustration for showing so little a progress would not permit me i think so i would come back later when i would have made some progress on this mod, untill then please drop by your view and suggestions about the One Handed Weapon Idle Pose i have posted above.
One more thing i hope i have not tried to overexaggerate things or wasted your time(my apologies if i did).
With Regards,
TheHolyWraith
Edit: Oh Man damn it seems even after writing so much i was not able to explain what this mod is going to be like,I will do it a bit later coz not much is coming into my mind lately except creating animations so will do it a bit later(Apologies).
Edit:-
Ok so it turns out i am a bit fed up of getting the poses correctly as of now so here i am updating what this mod is gonna be like:
What`s This Mod Is Gonna Do? :-
- It wil allow you and other NPCs to perform 9 different moves which will be a bit action oriented(not DMC like but the ones which seem real) compared to Game`s Default way of doing Melee Combat by drawing your weapon bak and forth to attack with only 3 moves.(This will get more clear when i show you the animations)
-A whole new Combo Mechanism(something similar to Combat Enhnced but with a lot more combos i have planned(wait Have I?) or others will suggest.Info:-This feature wont be there in the first release(First Release will only contain new Animations).
-A few new surprise changes to how you generally do combat(I really mean it).
-There will also be a whole new set of 1st Person Animations but my advice will always be to do Combat in 3rd Person View(except when swimming).
-Some more features which i will reveal later on as i progress.
