Combos in Combat.

Since there will be finishing moves and all that. Will we have combos too? In OB you repeatedly swinged your sword over and over and then the occasional power attack. Is it comfirmed there will be combos during combat? Such as if I punch normally and successfully hit my opponent and used a power attack I might do an elbow punch for extra damage. In the trailer I saw a guy spinning around hitting a guy with a sheild. I was wondering if there will be combos.

i hope not, i hate combos like (hold rt) x,y,x + Lt

this isn't street fighter

anyway i also would hate combos because if you failed the first strike then your character will continue the striking combo in the air = inmersion break

hopefully combos are not confirmed

Seems a bit too arcade-y for TES, but they included finishing moves and insta-kill sneak attacks, so who knows?

To clarify, I think your idea is still better than what they included, so yeah. :P

Don't know tbh.
If this was a semi turn based real time combination like the Witcher it would be possible.
It would also be fun as constant frantic button bashing would not be needed.

With perks it's an unknown veriable.
Look at the vast improvements FO: NV made in melee / unarmed with just some tweaks and special attacks.

So if the Devs found a way to avoid the frustrating combi button bashing, and made it relient on % chance based on skill and perks..
I'd think it may work out fun to try for.

I suggested simple combos. Normal, Normal, Power= Combo. I hate how people reference things nothing related, such as "TH1S INST ST33T FAIGTER!!>!>!!!". Please quote me once where I suggested making it street fighter. And adding such a simple aspect to the combat system will automatically make it a street fighter game?
Please go get tested because you obviously have no common sense nor reading skills.

This is the fifth narky direct attack on another user I've seen you post, please cool down.

Calm down there, rome

If somebody mentions combos, 90% of the people who read it are gonna think of fighting game combos, You didn't say anything about "simple" combos, you just said combos. That said, a few small ones would be cool

only if it was somehting that took a page from FO3 in which each body part was recognized with in the game as an individual part and attacking an arm then attacking a leg resulted in a more specific attack animation, or a forward power strike right before or after and enemy shield block results in a peircing attack. but no combo damage multiplyiers, that is just not the style that has been consistant with the series.

Since reading skills were mentioned...
7. Flaming is not allowed.

Insulting individuals or groups of members and name calling are flames. Any remark that is made to insult another member or group of members will be considered a flame and thus you may receive a warning for it.
Calling people a troll or an apologist for instance can both be considered a flame as can calling someone stupid or ADD. Attacking Xbox players, PS3 players or PC players is not allowed and calling them "console kiddies" or in anyway indicating someone is in some way a lesser person because of their choice is considered a flame here.

Well, if you look at the trailer, the dual-weilding guy kinda made one.
Though I kinda wish for it to not go much further.
Don't take me wrong: I love it when fights look good, and to be honest, the system in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within was probably the best I had ever seen (OPINION!)
It's just that... we're talking about a medieval-fantasy, semi-real game. well, in reality, armed combos don't really work. I'd see it for hand-to-hand though, where your moves don't always have a direct effect on your opponent

My temperament is quite short when it come to people who comes with a prejudice or just plain stupid comments. I like my threads clean and debatable. Not with people who got 7's in Reading at Elementary school.

Exactly what I suggested. Such as doing an elbow punch combo.

You mean like ignoring the forum rules you agreed to abide by when you joined the forums?

Apparently more reading comprehension is needed.
