where does that off shoot rocket go ?

i looked all over the wastes in the direction it veers and found nothing.

I don't think you can find them, but they probably do crash, even if you didn't sabotage the rockets.

Maybe check the wiki...

One veers a bit but it looked to me like its course corrected itself - I don't think any of them crashed.

Well, if you believe No-Bark Noonan, they're going to the moon. But he says that they are communist ghosts that want to paint a picture of Lenin on the moon.
All I know is they're going to the "Great Beyond" and there is a lot of radiation there.
The third one that goes off to the side recorrects it's course and flys with the other two.

I assumed Venus, it's closer to the sun than here, more radiation, and lets face it those '50s b-movie rockets aren't going to get them any further than that (and even Venus is a stretch of the imagination)

I think the "straggler" rocket is the one that does not correct the course and lands somewhere "in the region". That might explain the ending slide that refers to some returning Bright followers that return to Novac. The others probably arrived in their glowing paradise.

E: Come on, you really think they're going to space? I always got the assumption they target some abandoned / radiated US region.

BUT its a call back to those scientists in Fo2? I think who take off in a space ship, they had a plan and Im sure they survived..to an extent....Hope they come back someday

I hated that quest. Those rockets looked like something they salvaged from a playground. I am pretty sure they crashed because if you watch one of the trailers it shows the rockets crashing.

I sabotaged them with Sugar Bombs. Two of them took off and crashed immediately upon take-off right down onto the road to the REPCONN building. The third just fell down off the launch pad and didn't go anywhere.

They all disappear though.. except the one that just fell on the launch pad, which you can still see if you go underground to the viewing room.
