I got another one. After the game ends, you wake up and get out of bed. You go to the bathroom and wipe the steam from the mirror. You were an alien the entire time and your job today is to start a war between the U.S. and China.

It turns out you were never in the Wastelands. In fact, you are a senile old timer who gets hallucinations that distorts your view of the perfectly intact world. Instead of lush flora and modern buidings, you see illusions which include dead plants and destroyed structures. Instead of regular mice and lizards, you see mutated mole rats and deathclaws. As the main character, you must journey to the CVS Pharmacy across town to obtain the cure for your mental illness before it completely consumes you and traps your mind in the illusory Wastelands for the rest of your 30 days of life.

After a very emotional build-up and an intense battle, we finally find our son Shaun, also our main adversary. As we approach him for the first time, he turn and yells:

"GET TO THE CHOPPA!!"

And then Seth Rogen walks through the set, wearing only his underwear, eating a huge packet of Blue Star Potato Chips.

We turn around, run back to Vault 111, enter the cryo pod and close the door...

EDIT: okay, so maybe I didn't see the Schwarzenegger references in the posts above... oops! :D

Funnily enough I think Van Buren had a similar plot line like this where the enclave was supposed to get on a rocketship and move to some other planet after the earth was decimated from the great war.

''The U.S. government's real plan to survive a nuclear war was simply to find another planet to live on after blowing up Earth. A spacecraft designed to ferry the human race to another planet was either under construction or ready to go before the War. The plan was for the government to flee to the oil rig, and then leave in a spaceship for another planet''

I actually remember reading that awhile ago, right before NV came out. Interesting idea... Alright, new idea. Invasion from China, remnants of their government ready to continue the Resource Wars... :tops:

You wake up in a Cryo Pod, find all the other pods mostly empty or full of Skeletons. You trip over a vault tec technicnian who died long ago and take his pipboy, now realising why as the Pipboy welds itself as the molecular level to your forearm. You can now never ever remove it.. but you can play games. It now runs off energy derived from your blood.

Leaving the Vault, you ran back to your old home to find Codsworth waiting for you. After greeting you you struggle to collect your thoughts and then he mentions that your wife/husband is waiting inside to see you. You go inside and find them now a skeleton perfectly cleaned in clothes sitting in a chair with a gun sitting on the table in front of them missing a single bullet.

Fleeing this terror you head into the wastes and come across a Dog. The dog accompanies you around the wasteland helping out. It is only in the last part of the game you find out the Dog is an Android and is actually programmed with the memories of your long dead child. Of course it will never have any way to express those as it barely knew its mothers/father.

Defeating the Institute/Brotherhood you decide to return to the vault, to go back into suspended animation and hope to wake in an Earth that has evolved past the need for guns and violence. The Pod mulfunctions as it did for everyone else and all the people you helped, all the places you improved all fall to dust forget as you are but another corpse locked in a stasis pod.

My view is that over the past couple of games the actions of the main character have brought huge changes to the wastes

1) Fallout 1: Stopped the creation of West Coast supermutants

Destroyed the Master

Crippled the raiders

2) Fallout 2: Destroyed the West Coast Enclave. Stopped Vault Dwellers from being taken to use in an experiment

Killed the Enclave/US President

3) Fallout 3: Brought Pure Drinking Water to the Capital Wasteland

Destroyed the Enclave remant

The way I see it the three previous games the Vault Dweller, the Chosen One and the Lone Wander have pretty much been hero figures and people of legend to the wastelands and beyond. Im actually expecting Fallout 4 could end on a gloomier note despite the much more color there is to the game itself. Perhaps he/she learns that his family really did just die just like that and the people he was looking for were never actually out there to be found. Sure he might spoil the nefarious machinations of group X but he/she personal issues will never be able to be resolved in a satisfying manner.

A very young Child is brought into a Vault, and grows up without a mother, and only his father. Then, his father leaves him to die. But then the child realizes that it was just a virtual reality simulation, and they're REALLY IN THE BIG MOUNTAIN RESEARCH FACILITY!

The entire Fallout Universe is a dream the protagonist had, and he's really a normal guy living in the real world.

When our protagonist wakes up, he finds that the whole '50s angle has been dropped, and the world is now entirely themed around 'Monty Python's Flying Circus'.

He then silly-walks his way out of the vault and begins his first quest: the search for the man with a tape recorder up his nose...

You wake up and exit the vault but soon discover your brain has been swapped with the captains from Mothership Zeta, instead of destroying the world with evil Buttercups the plan all along was to seed the planet with German Shepard androids who would befriend dull witted humans guiding them to their doom.

Overtime you find out that your spouse was an abomination and your child is actually Sally who was put into Cryo sleep, you all reunite and together take on hordes of angry Minutemen armermed with only one laser musket between the three of you.

The story ends when you have a lucky hit with the laser musket on a tiny little hatch on the underside of the USS Constitution, but instead of crashing into the ground it propels itself into orbit where it collides with MZ and both come crashing back down upon Boston destroying everything. It also destroys your last hidden stash of Jet which you had become addicted to when you failed alien captains academy the first time.

You come out of the vault and all of a sudden the Brotherhood of Sterl come out of no where with vertibirds and airships and...and like...Griffins and [censored]. They're riding Griffins, that's now part of the lore. And the Brotherhood are all like "We're here to save you, from evil!". And your guy is all like "where's Liam Neeson" and the Brotherhurd are like "Darth Maul killed him". And the Lone Survive Wanderer is like "66:6 I am alpha and omega" and the Brotherhood are astonished and are like "woah, that's deep".

And then the ENCLAVE come out of no where and are like "Grrrrr i'm evil. Again. Again." And the Brotherhood are like "curse you Encrave" and then the Sole Wanderer kills himself because he realized he took the Here and Now perk. And some liberating android stuff.

Still a rough draft mind you, the story still continues even after the Chosen Survivor dies because the tree thing from Avatar brings me back to life, you know, stuff. But I think it has that Bethesda charm.

Your Pipboy rebels against you in the name of its former Master. You must tame the pipboy before it is too late. Can the PC successfully create a subservient Pipboy? Or will he succumb to the power of his devious device?

You are the one that is on a quest to build a "purifier" for Fancy Lad Snacks that will save the world from hunger that goes with the purifier for water from Fallout 3. Your dad made the prototype but he left to have support you after your mother was killed when a giant Fancy Lad Snack fell on her in the laboratory. You rebelled by leaving home and got married young. You joined the military and were in Anchorage. You retired and are now a salesman for Blamco.

The bombs fall and you go to the vault but then wake up alone with a message on your newly found Pip-Boy telling you that you must finish your father's work to make a Fancy Lad Snack Purifier if you want to get your family back. In the end it turns out that it is your father who has kidnapped your family and when you rescue your family you lock him into the purifier and irradiate him to death.

Codsworth comes out as robogay and runs away with Wadsworth after a Mr Handy Twerking Convention and they get married in New Vegas. Sadly Codsworth dies after getting an arrow to the lifting flamer thruster when raiders attack and Wadsworth comes to live with the Sole Survivor's family although he later runs away with Andy from Vault 101.
