(Before hand, if this is the wrong place to post this, I apologize. I'm new. But I'll learn.)

So I searched on Google on how to use the Morrowind command console, and I'm dumbfounded.

The only things I could figure out was how to raise my Magicka and Gold. I couldn't spawn any swords or armor or anything on myself. Whenever I typed in, for example, "Additem "Silver_Longsword" 1, an error message would pop up, saying something about not finding any files.

Can any one please help me?

(BTW, I'm an avid Oblivion player on his first time through Morrowind. I need a litte bit better equipment, since I keep dying alot. But I will go legit soon/)

Adding any type of item is very easy.
Player->additem "ID of item" 1

You need to designate the Player.
Be sure to use the ID of the item, not the name of it.
The ID for any object can be found in the CS, or much easier by checking the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Morrowind. The ID for items is always displayed with the info.

The quotation marks are also important in the console.
