Command Post = Spawn Point?

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:01 pm

Hopefully there won't be too much spawn camping on the command posts...

What do you guys think? Do you think the game will be balanced enough so that the other team can't successfully spawn camp a captured command post to stall a the main mission...

I am just imagining re-spawning on the CP and then getting killed over and over by a smart Security team...

CPs are not spawn points. There is a CP in the original Spawn (where you start the game) and may be a CP in the forward Spawn, but they are not the same as just CPs.

As for Spawn Camping, there are defenses around the Original Spawn to keep people out, and beyond that the responsibility is up to the players to make sure their spawn remains clear.

Watch the newest Get SMART video. There are two god-turrets that turn every enemy who trespasses into a lead statue.

He's right, If an enemy even trys to get near the intial spawn point, them two turrets will violate him sideways before he even has the second to get it through his tiny brain that he made a mistake trying to be a jerky spawn camper. SD has brought the hammer hard on unfair stratagies to keep Brink clean and fun.

No multiple spawn points per team. No spawning off squad memebers. No spawn camping.

I kind of like the whole indestructible turrets at the deployment/spawn points. One false move and you'll become Swiss cheese.

You get a warning when you're about to enter god turrets range, if you're dumb enough to continue, you deserve to die :P

I like it a lot. Good for attacking in waves. I hate how on BC2 everyone thinks they can do their own thing. I mean you can but it works a lot better to work as a team, but nobody ever attacks in waves..at least nobody I've been in a game with..

I digress, set spawn points with god turrets and wave-based spawning is ftw.
