Comment on my backstory? Faithful commoner.

Hello, i have though of a new build, feel free to let me know your opinion.

The faithful commoner

A son in a common folk family. His father was a merchant while his mother would work around the family's tavern. He was a nord, of moderate height. Not very strong, or smart, just a regular person, willing to be stronger while helping others.

He started going to adventures, something like a mercenary, a chance to know new people and make his fortune while fight for his homeland. His father had taught him to be a person with respect, faith and the desire to help. They would practice with the sword for hours, but he was also taught compassion from his mother.

He always tries to help the beggars or support others, of course he wont do something extremely heroic or lend his blade for free. After all his just a commoner and he needs to pay his expenses as well, but you would call him a humble person.

Skill.

One handed

Shield

Light armor

Sneak

Alteration

Restoration

Enchantment/smithing

In combat he uses just one single blade. The most helpful weapon for various tasks like hunting or defending, the trusty knife is always there. Perks- all first five

For tougher enemies he has a backup small shield, and stay cautious ready to bash the enemy to disarm. Perks, all the tree. Armor is light, suiting a hunter like him.

Lesser skills are

-sneak all the way to shadow warrior. The commoner knows he is not the best, so he tries to end the fight quickly by hitting the weak points of enemies. Surprise your enemies to win them without great risk, till you are so cunning you can do sneak attacks even in front of their faces.

-alteration, the commoner is a good and faithful person, says his prayers before each fight and hoping for the best. That is miraculously boosting his defense (mage armor)

-restoration while his father was teaching him to use sword and hunt with traps, he learnt some basic medic knowledge. Just up to respite and regenaration. No healing spells other than the first and fast heal.

And spells out of character just to make the build more easy. Smithing + enchanting as a person that generally tends his equipment.

So my character is a combo between paladin and ranger. He doesnt have the divine aspect of paladin, just the good and faithful character. Also he isnt as strong and durable as the ranger, just tries to learn to be fast and effective in his dagger attacks.

I think you have some interesting ideas here. But the only thing that really matters is this: do you like it? If the character and his backstory interests you, that is all that counts.

As Pseron Wyrd did say, the only thing that really matters is, if you do like your char!

Besides: How do you want to level enchanting? Buying filled soul gems? Collecting them with a dagger who has the soul-trap enchantment on? Casing the soul-trap-spell?

The last opinion would level conjuration. Putting conjuration in the build, the bound sword (or dagger from Solstheim or a mod) would be a better solution. But anyway, it would change some thing.

Other question: Should he have followers, or acting alone? Sneaking speaks for being alone.

The story sounds for me similar to the one of Eric the Slayer, so perhaps the char want to explore the world with Eric... ;)
