I have a freshly-installed and updated copy of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with nothing but device drivers installed. I then proceeded to install Crysis with Patch 1.2 and ran the 64-bit executable version. About 10-30 minutes or so into the game, the graphics freeze, the screen goes black, and the sound locks up (Though, still hearing music). All of this takes about 5 seconds and then the BSOD! appears, citing "dxgmms1.sys" as the problem. I had been smoothly running the game in 1440x990 with every setting at very high except for high motion blur. Before the first BSOD and mini dump.
I re-installed a newly-downloaded copy of the drivers. This has not helped my problem. My system is running coldly, but still the error appears. Someone pls. tell me I don't have to replace any of my newly updated hardware. (It was so expensive too!)
(Double checked on the ram, cleaned and bios updated. But still, BSOD!)
When someone has the time, I would very much appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Cheers
