I genuinely believe that the commonwealth will be in fallout 4

That very well may be true. The Commonwealth apparently is the entire state of Massachusetts, which would be a little big for a DLC.

My only hope though, is that if FO4 is in the Commonwealth, that the game is on a better engine. The GameBryo engine is completely unstable :S

It will most likely be on a next-gen console so i'm presuming they will use a different engine, i could be wrong though

ehhh don't want to see li or the bastard zimmer
so not not really

Zimmer probably won't be featured in it because in fallout 3 you have the option to kill him, li will most probably be in it, hopefully not essential this time

You can kill anyone in Fallout 1 and 2, but Harold and Tandi still reappear in Fallout 2, while Harold reappears in Fallout 3 as well. The developers simply chose to consider a given ending for some elements of previous games to be canon.

Yep.

You can destroy the Citadel and ruin the Brotherhood of Steel in the capital wasteland too, but I highly doubt that will be considered cannon. A good general rule of thumb is to consider the "good" ending of a quest the cannon ending, and with Zimmer that would be lying to him using the component so he leaves for the Commonwealth again... meaning he could be there in FO4, if FO4 takes place there.

You can kill Desmond in Point Lookout, but I REALLY hope we see him again... he mentions traveling North at the end of Point Lookout.

:spotted owl: it could go either way, but if the game continues to do well, i believe there will be another expansion or 2 even maybe more. with all the technology and marketing these days. this game is already groundbreaking. way better than oblivion. so i would be shocked if they didn't do anything more for fallout3, they're not gonna make all the fallout 3 fans wait 8 years for a sequel with nothing else except for what we have now. either FO4 comes out in a couple years or they will add more to FO3 in my humble opinion. look at the poll, a lot of people want more dlc. :cookie:

fallout 4. theres simply too much that can be explored that wont fit into an expansion. i think for an expansion that DC should be expanded. because the little bit in fallout 3 isnt the entirety of DC (id like to see an apocalyptic version of Georgetown University or the Smithsonian).

Seeing as fallout 4 will probably have more 'roots' to the 1&2 fans we have here.. I'm going to go with their decision for it to either be an expansion, or F4 as a whole.

1 & 2 know best!

Hello everyone! My first post to forum!

I think it would be great to have new game of Commonwealth because if it's as large as Fallout 3 Gameworld it is too much for Fallout 3 Engine i think.
I don't know really how it would work with Fallout 3 engine but this is what i think. There are some crash problems in game like when i Alt+tab to windows when there are no other programs up, game Crash just like that when i try to Atl+Tab back thats annoying prob if you haven't save game before you do that :brokencomputer: .

it would be better to build a new game with bit better graphics and bring these Commonwealth and New England places to game where people have started to rebuild place.

i don't know something like that.

Sorry if my language svcks i hope got my point ;P

Thanks!

The commonwealth is not some big Organization that has anything to do with the British commonwealth. It is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The State of Massachusetts is a Commonwealth. The androids from fallout 3 come from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology.) I can see having MIT in a future DLC but not on it's own. MIT (the Commonwealth) could be mentioned in fallout 4 but not as the main background story. MIT would not be as big as say the Enclave. They could be working for the Enclave but then the Enclaves tech would be even better and they themselves would have had androids.
My point is for anyone that may not know this yet The Commonwealth in Fallout 3 is (MIT Massachusetts Institute of Technology) which is in Massachusetts a Commonwealth state. It's official name is "The Commonwealth of Massachusetts" I don't think "The Commonwealth" in the game is the entire state it is most likely just MIT and the area around it, The City of Cambridge massachusetts at most.
I would like to see it in a DLC but that to is not likely because MIT is very far away from DC, New York City is alot closer then MIT is so why not do a New York DLC first? It's not going to happen.
We may see "the commonwealth" (again it's MIT) in future fallouts. It could be the entire state with MIT as it's capital but I don't see that as likely.
