I'm surprised there aren't more like me in the 40+ age range. When I was a kid, I remember the first space invaders cabinets, home computing just started to take off when I was in secondary school, and Dungeons and Dragons came out. Don't care how geeky or nerdy it sounds, the first time I played basic DnD aged about 11 or 12 changed my whole outlook on life, and is probably the reason I still play computer games today.
What happened to everyone else like me. I settled down, got a job, and had kids ( three boys, at least I have someone to talk games with ), but never stopped doing the things I enjoy now and again. Did all those other kids I saw pouring money into arcade games stop wanting to kill virtual enemies somewhere along the way ?
