I mainly intend this as a strong hint for Bethesda either to add it free in an update, or as DLC for a really reasonable price. As for anyone else, as long as you know what you're doing and adding, please make a mod of this for use on consoles as well!

More than lightly some Modder will add it, developers are going to have enough to do with adding specific voice acted new quests and such further down the line.

I think I'm missing what the point of the poll is. I'm also not sure what the point is that you're trying to get across.

My guess would be that you could maybe find a GECK in the wasteland and use it at your settlement to help grow crops and such is what he is trying to get across but speculation no clue.

Gotcha.

Was confused due to non-specific subject of topic "Community Polls."

First time I've been in a forum where you can have more than one poll per post.

It makes it confusing if the poll questions aren't clear and they aren't related to each other.

There is already a recent and active (on page 1) full thread about the number of base weapons, which is why I didn't see a need for it to be a random poll question in a random thread.

"Should building a town in Fallout 4 have lots of options, building, items?" Of course! Don't see a need for this to be a poll. Better way would have been a new thread, "What options would you like to see for town building?" or something like that.

Sorry VTPhantos. I just find it easier to participate in discussion when a thread is about one topic, which allows you to concentrate the discussion on that topic.

No, I wouldn't want to see the return of all armors and weapons from past games. For instance, New California Republic and Caesar's Legion armor having made it all the way to boston seems unlikely.

They were both comprised of readily available materials though like sports pads and swat team armor.

Perhaps not with insignias but it would make a modicum of sense to see a similarly designed Swat armor.

And man I loved the design of that veteran ranger armor.

Your questions and explanation of this poll is poorly worded and lacks backround. You need to at least somewhat explain the reasoning behind your poll (everyone cant read your mind). However I do not feel that it is fair to demand DLC when you haven't even played the game or know what is/what is not in the game yet.

#1) Incase you didnt watch the entire E3 video building settlements is VERY diverse and has ALOT of options and buildings from what I could tell. Unless you're talking about very specific things, then state what they are in your poll.

#2) Not only do previous games lore hint at it but also directly states this. I guess you just wanted to have a fun fact in your questionnaire?

#3) I understand you want some previous guns and armors. (so do I, such as the fat boy/.50 sniper) I think MOST of them will carry over as long as they arent generic to a certain faction that wont be making an appearance in FO4 as vyvexthorne stated. (ex faction specific armors)

Yeah, The veterans armor was really cool.. . I'm hoping with the layering system we'll be able to make armor that resembles something like it. Of course it will only work if they did made it so trench coats can be worn over some armors. It seems they would think of that during the design process but who knows.

Yes, but I do have a life and I can't sit here and wait to answer the second someone asks a question. Also, the questions were limited to amount of characters I could type. Also, I'm not "demanding" dlc, just hinting for the developer or modders. Alot of people can miss the obvious things that people want, and they proved they are listening to peoples suggestions, so......

#1 - I know what they showed in E3, but what they didn't show speaks volumes as well. I.E. Can you build multi story buildings for the people living in the towns, and not just yourself. Are you only allowed X amount of merchants? Like you can't have one of each. Can you build walls around your village out of ANYTHING or can walls only be 1 of 2 types? Could you build underground? If homes for townspeople are limited to 1 story, do they have to be spaced so far apart that you end up with 12 people total in the alotted space buildable?

#2 - Its both a fun fact and to see how many people understood the question. Most people didn't realize the ability to create a village was suppossed to be an option in Fallout 1 & 2. Although in 2 it was more of an improve your village from the start of the game.

#3 - This should be obvious. In the previous games (i.e. before fallout 3) there was no real faction specific armor that would get you killed for wearing it in the wrong place. Example: Combat armor, advanced combat armor, hardened power armor. Also, fallout 1 and 2 had alot more weapons and items, and if stimpacks are used everywhere in the fallout series, why not most of the other items like, spiked knuckles, boxers hand wrap, "weighted" boxing gloves, there were some others that could only be gained by hacking the game to put them into your inventory, but they were in the games code. Those of you who have played the previous games will understand what I'm talking about, and until I go back and load a save from Fallout 1 & 2, this is the best list I could think of at the time. Think about it, if hardened power armor was designed in Fallout 2, whos to say that some version of that tech couldn't have made its way to Boston after all the time that has passed in the Fallout world between then and now. In that world it would make sense to see items from other areas since they have caravans going from coast to coast in the world. Also, who here wouldn't want to see a plasma mini gun? Never been in the universe, but hint hint Bethesda!

Also, this was called "Community Poll" because I am polling the community by asking questions that I'd like to see what the community thinks are good answers.

Keep in mind, there are so many threads in these forums that people are much less likely to even look at a thread with a vague title. This is proven by the number of replies on your topic versus the number of replies on other topics. Also, people are far more likely to reply to your post and give opinions if the topic title and the content of your thread is focused on just one subject - something specific such as "Do you think there's a GECK in Vault 111?" instead of "Community Polls."

Lol yes i realize you were limited in the question but your first post could have gone more in depth on your questions other than "lets see how this poll goes"

and i never said you needed to answer questions the second someone asked it.

Insight!

[edit: to help you out and stay on topic we will never know exact details about settlements until release,

1) we can only speculate several buildings several stories high with several vendors with walls etc...

2) maybe use that fun fact as part of your discussion in your first post :)

3) The generic list of items you gave "Combat armor, power fists, power armor" yes i do believe those things will be in fallout 4 whole heartedly but they may be slightly re-named. The power armor will be in pieces that you can upgrade as we have all seen. Combat armor has always been in the game even if under the guise of a specific faction (aka, slightly re-named). As for a plasma mini gun, remember all weapons have parts that are interchangeable. So basically anything is possible! Whos to say you cant turn a mini gun into a plasma minigun or a plasma gun into a plasma minigun! The possibility is definitely there.]

I never actually said "power fists and power armor" I know they will be likely to be there, I mentioned advanced combat armor and hardened power armor.
