Community Quests

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 5:05 pm

Quests only last so long when roleplaying certain types of characters,
so why not create community quests everyone can enjoy?
Post quests here that everyone can go out and try!

Again this is Daydark's idea from the Skyrim section.

Daydark's Quest:

I hate Racist Bastards, they are bound to be in Skyrim, you mission is to Kill 5 Racists. You must provide evidence that they are racists, and subsequently that you killed them, or that they're life have ended.

Restrictions:
None. All can accept.

Summary:

  • Kill 5 Racists.
  • Provide Evidence of their Racism, and that their life has ended.

Preemptively kill all the Mythic Dawn sleeper agents, capturing each of their souls into a black soul gem.

Obtain Umbra the sword, without killing Umbra the wood elf.
Hint:
Spoiler
Think disintegrate weapon until she unequips it + pick pocket.

Kill someone because of their opinions? Regardless, that seems a bit ...eh.. not democratic

Who did your character vote for in the last Emperor election?
(sorry, my friend - just joshin' of course, but I couldn't resist. Lol)

Seriously, Buffy has worked hard to combat racism in Cyrodiil. Comments from Anvil guards that they would rather sleep with their horse than a wood elf sting. She has tried to change the opinions of Countess Allesia Caro in Leyawiin, even going so far as to literally strip her of her pretenses (and clothes). Alas, to no avail. Nevertheless, she is not up to the task of assassinating her or those who think like her. My goodness, that would eliminate half the population of Leyawiin. It's shocking the way Khajiit and Argonians treat each other in that town.

I am an Assassin by profession, and the cause seems Holy. I think I'll do it. Shall post in a bit with evidence of my completion.

I expect payment.

Equip all the fighters in the battle for Bruma with daeric weapons and armor. Can also be done on consoles with reverse pickpocket permabound equipment. Main problem for the defenders is steel and silver weapons and iron or chain armor. The city guards has heavy armor as major skill but wear light armor. I have done the fight with no deaths past level 30, yes I gave them health potions to with a mod to give them items.

Bring to justice a corrupt council member without killing him. Find evidence that he's taking bribes and from who and report to the council watch.

Done.

Target 1: http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010453.jpg?t=1292538619 - Yes, a high profile target. She won't be easy as she is virtually never alone, but the proof is undeniable.

Evidence of Racism:
http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010454.jpg?t=1292538769 - A conversation with a Jailor led me to find a darker side of the Countess.
http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010456.jpg?t=1292538872 - Further investigation in the castle had me chance upon a Secret Room in the basemant, in which the Countess tortures Argonian prisoners.

http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010460.jpg?t=1292538980 - After spending numerous days stalking her, getting to know her schedule, and becoming familiar with her intimates, I finally found a time space in which she was unguarded in the center of her throne room. I dispatched her there and then.

Target 2: Hlidara Mothril - Assistant and advisor of the Countess of Leyawin. Despite being of much lower ranking than the Countess herself, she is equally difficult to silence without anyone noticing. Fortunately for me, the Gods shined upon me at the right time.

Evidence of Racism: As an advisor and assistant of the Countess, she is no doubt in on her prejudices. She is a devout supporter of the Countess which makes her guilty by association.

http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010459.jpg?t=1292539121 - Shortly after killing the Countess, she entered the room, and saw me standing over her corpse, pulling out my arrow, and cleaning it with her own dress. Horrified she began to yell for guards, unfortunately she did not complete her first word, as within seconds the arrow I had pulled out was in by bow, and instantly launched, piercing her stomach, and thus killing her slowly. By the time I reached her, she was dead, but two guards had also arrived, whom I swiftly brought down before making my escape.

Targets 3 & 4: The Plotius Couple - An Imperial couple living in Leyawin, whom I'd had the displeasure of speaking with in the local tavern.

Evidence of Racism:
http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010461.jpg?t=1292539636
http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010462.jpg?t=1292539708
After several drinks, both husband and wife become really open about their controversial political views. Agreeing with the Countess, and hoping for the Legion to come in and clear out Khajiits.

http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010466.jpg?t=1292539796
http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010463.jpg?t=1292539859

They died while lunching one afternoon in their modest little house. Guards are sure of foul play, however are unsure as to who it may have been. Their only lead is that both of them died violently of arrow shots. Public is banned from entering the house due to the brutality of their demise.

Target 5: Dar Jee - A shady Argonian local of Leyawin.

Evidence of Racism:
http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010468.jpg?t=1292540183
http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010469.jpg?t=1292540252

Upon conversing with him for some time, he decides to share a joke with me. A joke that proved to be fatal for him, for it showed his inner feelings towards another race.

http://i878.photobucket.com/albums/ab344/Holy_Assassin47/17122010470.jpg?t=1292540365 - He died the next day when out on a walk. An arrow through the heart, killed him instantly.

OOC: Hope you guys liked this. I know I wasn't very creative with my kills, or very elaborate otherwise, but the truth is; it's pretty late, and I kinda rushed through it. :P Anyway, let me know what you guys think!

Excellent, very compelling!

Foul Wench got what she had coming! It was only a matter of time before the arrow of justice found her discriminating heart. *Shakes Fist*

Even if she wasn't in on it, she let it happen, and then she might as well have been one!

Pitty that there had to be casualties, but sometimes the price for justice is steep.

It is the Count doing that. He is the one who has the key to the secret torture room, not the Countess. The beggars will tell you that he interrogates Argonian immigrants from Black Marsh there. So you should knock him off too. Consider it a bonus.

I have made another Quest:

Quest:

Damn lawbreakers! they ruin everything, but not on YOUR watch!

Punish/Kill 5 Lawbreakers, no law left unpunished! It doesn't matter if it is the king of murders, or the one-legged terminal ill mother of three, trying to steal medicine/food or sleeping in the streets, they must all feel the steel boot of the LAW!

You must provide evidence of their offense, and that you've righteously punished them!

Restrictions:
Must not "break" the law, trying to enforce it.

Summary
  • Punish/kill 5 Lawbreakers.
  • Provide Evidence of their offense & your enforcement.
  • Do not "break" the law in the completion of this quest.

Who will bring order to the land?

Not the best, but I have ad this idea, but never the time to do it.

Speak with the Countess of Anvil. She does not trust a Fort, that is quite close to her fair city. She wants you to carefully investigate, try to find a leader in the Dungeon. If there is none, they are not an immediate threat, and the Guard can handle it. But if there is a War Leader, dispatch him and any cohorts ASAP, and bring back a token of their demise.

Restrictions:
Do not kill any Marauder until you find proof they have a Leader organizing an assault on Anvil. War Leaders tend to have the know how on how to siege the Castle.

Summary:
Infiltrate the abandoned fort near Anvil.
Carefully sneak around the Marauders, careful to avoid uneccisary bloodshed.
If there is no leader, try not to raise the alarm as you leave.
If one is there, try to get a good sneak kill on him, and grab something to signify his death. Trappign his soul is not required, but would more than qualify.
Return to the Countess with the news and evidence(if it is needed) for your reward.

Reward:
1000 gold.

It can also be applied to other Cities as well. It is so simple, you can probably modify it to anything you want. Such as get the evidence WITHOUT bloodshed. Gives the Agent class a good Roleplay opportunity if anything.

Hmm, I was unaware of this. Your web of information is even better wound than my own? You would make a great ally, and a good follower of the Holy cause. I thank you for this information. The Count grieves over his dead wife, he shall be easy prey. He will never see the moon shine tonight.

The two new quests above, from Daydark and RoflLizard seem interesting, I shall take them too. Both of them.

These seem interesting, and I may try them myself, if I ever get a good assassin/general sneaky sneak. However, they all seem a little too geared towards the cause of good, righteousness, justice. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Lurius Marillin, a devout freedom fighter and anarchist within this fair land. And ladies and gentlemen, I may just have a job for you. In order to better spread the cause of chaos, the leaders of the citites must be... distracted. For this, I require the death, or otherwise unavoidable detainment, of the stewards and stewardesses of the seven Counts and Countesses of Cyrodiil, so that the cause of chaos may rise again.

Summary:
Kill:
  • Hal-Liurz
  • Drels Theran
  • Hlidara Mothril
  • Orok gro-Goth
  • On-Staya Sundew
  • Dairihill
  • Yvara Channitte

Do NOT kill any guards while doing so. Provide proof of death. Your reward shall be 5 whole turtles if completed correctly.

Consider it done, Mr. Lurius.

I now have three quests on my hands;

-Kill 5 Criminals.
-Kill a Marauder Leader without killing any of his/her men.
-Kill all Count/Countess Steward/Stewardess'. (I already have one down, I can't re-kill her.)

I'll try to see if I can work up some quests which are more appropriate for non-assassins, or at least open to non-sneaky characters. :)

Okay, here's one:

Start a new character of your choice, in the beginning prison cell, and follow the Main Quest through the closing of the Kvatch Gate, without registering a single kill on your stat sheet (creatures and people killed must remain at zero.) For extra credit, complete the Battle for Castle Kvatch.

Welcome to the Cyrodil Archaeological Community! We specialize in unearthing Alyeid Ruins and old Imperial Forts. The secrets they have are fascinating and must be looked into. This of course, is why you were hired. We need someone to escort our Archaeologists down into the Ruins and let them gather the necessary field data. You will travel at Faregyl Inn. There, you will meet the Archaeologist who will accompany you on your journeys. Remember to return to the Imperial City to drop off your finds at Lord Umbacano's house! You will be paid according extra depending on your finds. Good luck!

Requirements: You need to have completed all of Lord Umbacano's quests to begin this questline.
You also need a companion mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7819
Something that eliminates level scaling like OOO is also recommended.

The Imperial Watch is fed up of the thieves guild stealing from shops. They have a few leads on peopel involved, but don't want to make any arrests without a good amount of proof they are associated with the Guild. This is where you come in. The Watch has leads on these 3, your job is to find evidence, with no bloodshed.

The people you will be looking out for are detailed in these scrolls.
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Isleif_the_Open_Handed
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Carwen
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:J%27baana

The first two shouldn't be too hard to pickpocket, but J'Baana will be tougher. The Guards have no idea you are wrangling evidence, so if you are detected, they will try to arrest you. You have been warned. Upon completing this task, return to me, and I will pay you 1200 gold.

Summary:
Get evidence(Pickpocket from them, or steal it from their houses) for the 3 previously listed members of the thieves guild.
Return to the questgiver(Decide who gives you this quest)

Restrictions:
Bloodshed. It will count as murder of an innocent, forfeiting your contract.

Reward:
1200 gold.

Sure! Here is a cut & paste of the second quest from post #2 above:

Obtain Umbra the sword, without killing Umbra the wood elf.
Hint:
Spoiler
Think disintegrate weapon until she unequips it + pick pocket.
