Companion disappears but still in party.

Well, I have Boone and E-D as companions.

I don't know where E-D is now. Last I remember, the robot was with me. Now it's no where to be found but I still have the perk from it being in the group.

Loading prior saves, exiting and restarting - nothing brings it back.

I have the same exact problem, except Rex has disappeared. He disappeared while entering the secret camp of Caesar's Legion. Due to this bug I am stuck on this island. I cannot leave until I talk to Caesar, I cannot enter Caesar's tent to talk to him due to Rex vanishing and still being in party.

Sry for double post, but would not allow me to edit my previous post.

My question is if anyone knows of a console command to teleport Rex or any other companion to player character. There are some for Fallout 3, but would need ID for companions.

1) First thing you'll need to fix this problem is to get a hold of your companions "reference ID" number. This can be found several ways. Easiest is to look it up on the wiki page. At the time this was written, there still isn't a whole lot of information on FNV Wiki yet, so you might have to use a different method. Load back another save, find your companion, and and open up the console. This can be done by pressing the ` or ~ key on your keyboard. Next, click on the companion. At the top it should say:
"[Character name]" (xxxxxxxx)
Copy that number down.

2) Open the console in your current save file. Type in:

prid xxxxxxxx (The reference number of your companion)

At the top of the screen it should come up with the name of your companion, and then their ID number.

Then, type in:

moveto player

Some text should appear, saying "[companion] picked package guard ()"

3) Exit the console, and your loving friend should be standing/floating/haunching/drooling nearby!

An example, say Rex went missing. I would get his ID number, which is 0010d8df, open up my console, type in
prid 0010d8df
moveto player

Don't remember where i found this

I have 'lost' Boone and Ed-E.

I have no saved games with the companions. Can't see any ref to ID numbers on Wiki. Any other thoughts on where I might find the details? Very frustrating as I can't recruit other Companions as the 'lost' ones are still with me as far as the game is concerned.

This did the trick, thanks.

Relief, as I was getting fairly pounded without the support of Companions.

It didn't work for me.

I entered the console and the commands above, the prid ids ED after I type the id number in. But nothing happens with 'moveto player'. Still no ED.

Maybe there's a way to remove her as a companion from the console application?
