No quest markers or solid intel to where I supposed to go?

I think info for these quests shows up under data/misc on your pip boy.

Had one playthrough which triggered all (I presume it was all...) of EDE quests and got an upgrade etc, my second playthrough none of these triggered other than the first couple of messages. There weren't any mapmarkers for the quest or any clues in misc etc. I presumed I must have gone to locations in the first playthrough that I didn't in the 2nd and thus later messages didn't trigger? Anyhow I'm in Primm now for the next game (first attempt at hardcoe and unarmed - lots of fun so far!) and once my repair is high enough to get him I'll try again and see what happens.....

It finally kicked in out the blue like a in game week later dismissing and picking up ED-E gives me the messages in order for me to complete the quest

I was at Kings place ED-E was missing falling behind then I waited for 3 hours or so when it happened
