Do you think it would be cool if you could tell your companion to scavenge a place, instead of them just standing there with there foot in there mouth?

Once the kit is released all I want is a beacon. Once you drop it, settlers from your nearest town go to that cell and loot everything not nailed down. It can be balanced by being expensive and have some weight.

That's not a bad idea. But risk leaving your settlement defenseless.
