Companion settlement task assignment bug? *possible spoiler*

Post » Fri Jan 15, 2016 7:24 pm

I have a problem with some of my companions. I seem unable to assign them to tasks that others say the should be able to do, ie for Codsworth to farm.

I know that I ?shouldn't need to assign a bed to Nick because he is a synth but I have seen Curie sleep. Should she be able to be assigned to a bed? I can not assign her any tasks either, whereas several of the others are able to be assigned to guard posts, shops and farming. All I get in the workshop when I look at some of the companions, like Nick and Curie is "(ESC)".

Is this a bug or operating as intended? Anyone have a way to fix this??

Curie is a Gen 3 Synth, primarily human. Like 99.9% human if my assessment on Gen 3 is correct.

Nick is Gen 2 and needs no sleep, by his own account.

I posted Curie to a bed and a farm plot yesterday at the Red Rocket.

Hmm. Confirming that I seem to have a problem in that I can not assign her.

I could only assign her after first dismissing her to Red Rocket, in this case.

Currently active companions are not assignable at all.

Btw, this post is best off in General or spoilers section as it is unrelated to the hardware.

I thought this was the software bug report section. This seems like a bug to me.

But I am happy for the thread to be moved. I'll see if I can figure out how to make that happen. ?
