Companion Starting Location

Is it possible to send companions back to their starting locations? I have been switching up the companions I use a lot lately, and whenever I dismiss them, I usually default to sending them to Sanctuary. That said, with Piper, I want to send her back to Public Occurances in Diamond City. It's her home town where she works and her sister lives, and I just think it makes more narrative sense for her to be there. I've sent her back before by backing out of the "Send Piper To" screen after dismissing her, but now it just sends her to the Red Rocket truck stop when I do that. Probably because it's the last place I dismissed her to (a good while back). Is there any known way to get Piper (or any other companions) to return to her original starting location? Or is she gonna have to abandon her sister and business to take up farming?

Yeah, this bothers me as well and it seems like a lot of other people have the same issue.

It just breaks the immersion drastically, the same goes for Nick for example.

I would be happy enough is Beth just releases the specific console command to set their companion-home status back to their original location(even if this doesn't make sense for other like Strong).

I usually don't like the kids in Fallout because they are mostly annoying but Nate standing there all alone in the middle of Diamond City and selling Newspapers doesn't feel right at all.
