So I was reading about Umbra on the forums apparently It is a weapon with a soul in it. This got me thinking, How cool would it be to have a weapon or two that held some kind of demon or benevolent being that you can talk too if you want to ( thanks ofnir123 ) and get its opinion of the current situation or a quest. The Evil one would have a thirst for battle and killing and would react to such things by getting stronger or maybe transforming also it would maybe give you dreams or visions possibly able to posses you and give you powers. Or maybe the benevolent one would do the same things but through good deeds or slaying evil enemies? This weapon would have to be extremely hard to get for one.

Maybe if implemented right this could be good?

I remember Dawn Fang transformed if you slew enough enemies in a day or something, that was really cool.

Anyways I am sure you guys will have better ideas than me so please share your thoughts and ideas.

I'd like it if you actually had the option to talk to it. would be epic lol.

where I'd hate it is if it would automatically talk to you whenever you do something, which means that it would totally ruin the fun of exploration

id honestly love it. it would be even more epic if it grew stronger threw uses. I hated how in oblivion as just because i got umbra as early as possible it became useless at lvl 30 :banghead:

Why a weapon? That's very Devil may Cry...

I am more curious about that dastardly horned helmet the protagonist is wearing in every screenshot. He can't seem to get rid of it: maybe it's enchanted with the spirit of the mammoth whose horns were used to make it, and the mammoth serves as your spirit guide to the lands of Skyrim throughout the game.

But probably not. Though I am still asking for a humorous talking mudcrab helmet that buys your loot and chews your head off like a headcrab if you try to take it off.

Companion weapons keeps reminding me of Lilacor of Baldur's Gate 2 fame and of a specific, very well done early-era mod of the same weapon in Morrowind.

Annoying as hell, but ridiculously epic at the same time.

That would be pretty cool to see.
