Companions are fools and need better comand options

The companions are great for one thing in this game as of right now, being your second back pack. They need to implement a system similar to fallout where you can tell your companions to stay back or fight up close, use range over melee or vice versa. Also what’s the deal with them just disappearing IV had two companions now that have just up and disappear on me and I have no clue as to where they are. They need to make it notify you if your companion dies and if they don’t die but are so far away or a quest line causes you to louse them they should go back to their original location. Also they should allow you to drop them off at your house.

So I teamed up with the Mage companion in the azura star quest. She's a nice compliment to my sword n board. Until I gave her some heavy armor to carry. She equipped and has been trying to melee everything with her puny lil dagger ever since. So stupid.

Yes that is another point I forgot to make, why is it you get a light armor or mage and you give them loot to hold on too and they put on whatever is the highest def rate and atk rate. They should have an info screen on the companion that tells you what they prefer to wear and how they prefer to combat and a list of their skills and stats they take. A mage who use robes should never go and put on a thing of heavy armor.

Yeah, I would like to see this improved a hell of a lot in the next episode. The character interaction as whole; the companion stories, their quests and their unique behaviour could all be improved. I like their inventory management but the accompanying AI is flaky. I like the rule sets you could get in DA 1/2 (yeah I know).

Maybe, they could implement a revive spell in the school of restoration or conjuration to bring your companion back to life. I know there is a skill to let you raise the dead but I’m saying one where it brings them back to life as if there never died not a time skill that just raise a zombie.
