I have yet to figure out how to get my companion to wear power armor. Or anything I put in their inventory for that matter.... It svcks becayse I've collected awesom weapons and armor specifically to give to my companion but they don't use it. WTH.... Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Give it to them. Select it in their inventory and press T

With power armour you need to be a reasonable distance away from them and the power armour for it to work. If you are too close it triggers your enter/transfer function.
