So I'm hunting a Giant and I'm shooting my magic bow from across the river. Companion and dog go attack the Giant directly.

WHOMP! goes the Giant's axe.

As I watch as my companion and dog shoot off into the sky until they vanish I wonder "Do companions come with parachutes?". Well I guess the answer is "Yup, they do!" because after I kill the Giant on my own both companion and dog trot up as if nothing had happened. I would have loved to hear them come screaming down out of the sky but I guess they respawned out of sight.

Those giants really do need a sweep with the old bug detector.

Guess they were thrown so far away your character, they got teleported to safety.

It really is kind of annoying. I took Lydia to the top of High Hrothgar and shouted her off the edge. She plummeted to the bottom and did not die. I did the same thing to Vidkas. I took him to the tower stone and pushed him over the edge, right where the birds nest is to the right of the stone. He survived somehow. Than later he and Lydia were killed by Falmer....
