sometimes when i part ways with a companion and drop by to get them later they do not show up nor do they show up dead, i don't know if their still hoof'n it through the wastes or not but they do not show up. also i left Rex in the lucky 38 with the others and he just suddenly disappeared, is it possible he could have just decided to take a stroll through the casino. does anyone else have this problem and is there a way to resolve it.

Dealing with that issue now as well, after getting out of Lucky 38. I had Arcade and Rex with me before having to leave them behind, and haven't found them since. I've looked around the Freeside/Strip gates and haven't found anything.

Same here. No mention about the location of the companions, left 2 of them in the investigator's room at the Ultra Luxe and went and did a few quests to raise some skills to finish that one and came back and they were gone. Went to Jacobstown to try to do part of that one and couldn't finish it without Rex. Hopping they reset back to the Lucky 38 within a couple days gametime.

UPDATE: Found Rex and Cass in another part of the same map (it was actually through the door across the hall.. how they got in there no idea.. sounds like the game is inverting coordinates or something when it places them -- which would explain them disappearing)

It was a good thing I heard Rex barking or I woulda walked right by haha.
