I recently got Boone as my companion, but i told him to wait for me at the lucky 38. i also got the Doctor guy from Followers of the Apocalypse, and i told him the same thing. Now They are Gone and i cant find them. They should be on my map but they are not, i also checked the locations i found them and they are not there either.

Did you um, check the lucky 38 pres. suite?

On the topic of missing companions (I know you found yours) ED-E went 'missing' in my game. Now I'm not playing hardcoe mode so my companions just lose consciousness. Right so I'm going after the Remnants power armour in the death claw promontary. I've taken out the first 2 waves now I've got to kill the last group of deathclaws near the bodies of the 'prospectors'. Just before you get to them there's a small hill/ridge/hump with plants ontop of it. Well I mined that hill (while in sneak) with frag mines and plasma mines then attracted the remaining death claws. They charged over the hill into the mine field I had created (I'd saved dozens of mines for this moment). At the same time ED-E went right into the midst of them. At this time the mines blew whilst at the same type I let rip with my AER laser rifle prototype from vault 22 (I also had energy weapons skill of 100). I had the laser commander and the meltdown perk, so when I burned one death claw into ash it blew up with the meltdown perk which would set off more explosions and sometimes the death claw next to it would then blow up in a big plasma meltdown perk explosion. It was a massive firestorm, frag mines, plasma mines, ash piles and meltdown perk plasma explosions. ED-E was right in the middle of this epic fire and plasma and laser explosion. When all the fire, plasma, explosions had finally cleared (I was firing my energy weapons like a mad man), EDE-E was no where to be seen. No wreckage no unconscious eyebot. I couldn't see anything other than death claw ckunks and death claw ash piles and death claw goo piles, no ED-E piles. I checked the map and his name appeared no where on it, I searched extensilvely and couldn't find him. Veronica was indicated as standing by me (as she was) but no ED-E. Luckily I had saved the game just before the last group of death claws so it was ok just thought I'd share that with you. Have any of you had something like this happen? I've had companions not appear with me after fast travel and various other problems but I've never had a companion dissapear behind a massive wall of fire and not reappear before.
